Swedes, Yanks and North Africans fighting North Africans?

There we go, completely accurate.

We are thinking about adding Morocco in. What do you think?

Hm.. it's a really hard YES

My Dad's got about 50 books on Moroccan Barbary Wars, before and after the US interventions. I can get all the info you need :D

Now all we need is a good picture of Moroccan soldiers so we can add their faction to the thread. Do you happen to have 1?

I'll see if I can get my hands on a photocopier.

Quick note, like many Arab nations the Moroccan Army was armed with handmade flintlocks and swords, the kind that can't have bayonets. Their main strength was that of their Navy. I've got some pics lying around of troops, give me a day or two.

Ok, thank you for the information. :D
I didn't know about the handmade guns though, but I knew that they didn't have up-to-date firearms.

Just give the soldiers refurbished Cavalry muskets, except they'll need to be re-textured. Because the muskets were hand made, the artisan who made it usually added extremely intricate designs.

Also the frame of the musket itself was extremely different. A much narrower stock, smaller barrel. Much lighter than their European counterparts but extremely more expensive, plus they broke easier.

Last pic is a cavlary musket from 1844, but the design was the same. Carbines weren't used in the Army, only full length muskets.

The hard part is finding actual uniforms, there were no real codes other than "Have a gun and an outfit looking similar to the other people"

I guess the Arab nations liked their flashy guns!  ;)

Is this based in the first Barbary War, or the second?

Both, so we have more stuff to add in the game.

Goodluck,  it was hard to find any uniforms but this one, for the Barbary Pirates.
