Don't worry we have enough uniform variation for each regiment previews just show one of them.

NW and NaS unit variants counted together are still less than what we have for confederate side alone.

The warband engine has not a good variation system, thats the main problem! The first uniform variation (like hat A) has a 75 % chance to spawn, hat B a 20% chance to spawn and so on.. So if you have 5 different hats for example, you wont see much of hat 4 and 5 ;)
And you can't change the spawn possibility?

It's extremely messed up in M&B, you can give a troop 5 hats in their inventory and they can all spawn with the first one.

I agree... I was hoping so much for variation on my future mod.... Even Jesus can't crack the engine further. Was a wonder how Vince managed to pull this off

which side are you most excited about playing, Union or Confederates?

I personally will like confederates more due to the fact there is more variation in clothing

I think it looks great. Gives it a nice rusted/used look to it.

Yes but I would distrust a rusty gun, it would be like holding a ticking time bomb  ::)
But that's my opinion

It's really not that bad. The metal wasn't necessarily polished like you'd think it is today. So, that fits perfectly for cast iron.

A cast iron pistol? not in a million years.

Look at this. See the blues and reds in the metal, the way it's worn more in some parts than others, the way dirt has built up, the way the finish was only worn off in certain parts. That's what'll make the texture a lot better.

The colours look fine to me, i think because that site allows you to zoom right into the model makes it look worse, in game you won't really be seeing it right up to the texture.

You mean to say you don't see blue and red (maybe a little green) colours in that photo you just posted?

The finishes they used back then had a naturally blue colour, then with the oils, patina and light surface rust, you'd get a lot of colour.

Hmm, you're right, he just needs to add a little hue change and saturation.

Been adding some blue/orange shading to some parts of the gun still need to add it to few more spots though. http://p3d.in/LBCqM
