Boy I sure do am glad that shit doesn't apply to acw.  It used to be very loud, i would go severe deaf after the battle. But now shit doesnt affect me at all anymore. But having a K98 go off right next to you will murder your ears.  I already have some hearing loss before i started, i pity you folks who dont have any hearing loss at all. RIP your ear virginity.

Yeah, I'd like my hearing to last me a lifetime. That's why I use earplugs so I don't waste it right now.

120 grain shot going off in 20 muskets at once is quite... insane :P

Cant tell how loud a Kar98 is, but I can imagine it being very loud. After all the charge is compressed in a tiny tiny metal bullet.

One thing I see a lot of with people firing is them leaning back as well. For god sake lean into the shot!

Nearly everyone does it firing whatever weapon. see it a lot in archery too. Think it's a false feeling of balancing for the heavy object in your hands.

I don't know what the reason is in archery, but usually with firearms it's just due to people expecting nasty recoil and so they cringe or prematurely flinch away from the gun in preparation. I see it a lot with girls when they're smaller sized so the recoil takes more of a hit on them. But yeah, leaning into the shot is always preferable. I'm not sure why some people don't correct it when they see learners doing it - it's just better form.

won't post as a video unfortunately cause it's on facebook... but thought you'd all appreciate these two beauties!

Ref. leaning out of the shot rather than into the shot. It's not that hard a thing to remember to do. It's also safer when doing a volley if everyone is doing the same thing! I'd rather the guy stood to my left was leaning into the shot as well as angling his lock... that way the lock is nicely forward from my face and the blast will go  up rather than out!!!!!

this has to be my favourite image of me ever... very casual lean into a shot  ;)

Here's one of my group from 2008. This was one of the biggest events in Argieland so far. Sadly, I wasn't part of the reg yet.

Looks actually pretty good for an event in Argentina where you can't import anything.

That was before all the restrictions came along, when most groups were still decent looking and had proper resources.
