A total of four seconds of the reload animation playing is, in the opinion that I presently hold to be true, too many seconds for the reload to take by a total of two, or perhaps two and one half, seconds.

No wait, that's still too sarcastic. From now on I'll send my intent to you via PM and you can review it and suggest how I should word it before posting it.

Well, thanks for the feedback.
I was simply saying when you post, don't be rude. No need to ridicule me for asking a simple thing.

2 seconds is way better than 4.

WW1 Brits were trained to do the mad minute (30 or more aimed shots in one minute).

Why not try to do experienced units/troops can reload faster, but Militia type of men take longer to reload due to the fact they have not been well trained.

Working the action on a bolt action rifle is the simplest thing in the world. Any idiot can do it as well as an experienced shooter.

I am aware of that, but a Civilian who is only using the rifle for the first time might find trouble cocking back the bolt.

Not to long ago I used a bolt-action rifle for the very first time.
I had no trouble cocking the gun.

Indeed. They were designed for simplicity.

1 second to work the bolt plus 1 second to aim again makes 2 seconds per shot and the reload should be 5-7 seconds, stripper clips can be quite fiddly sometimes.

If you're going to change the reload animation to be working the bolt then I hope you realise you will not be able to reload the gun because you've used that animation and slot for the bolt.
A better idea would be to incorporate the working the bolt animation into the end of the firing/recoil animation, that way you can still have the reloading animation for putting new rounds into the gun.

I didn't think of that, thanks!
Now to learn how to animate...

I agree with Wilhelm, however 1.5 seconds of working the bolt and being presented. Then having 7 seconds reload time - the same as RO1 and pretty much the same whenever I'm out in the field.
Humans are extremely complicated creatures. Death uncomplicates them to a frightening degree...

Indeed, they were usually shooting at a target 200 meters away.

Sorry for double post!
Should we include one or two colonial troops for each faction, or should we stick with the european theatre?

(EDIT: If you can tell, i'm very indecisive, and so is my modeler...)
