55th have dropped from RGL. This was before the rumoured merge into 16th, however they will NOT be permitted to play under 16th tags if the merge does go through. For the same reason we introduced the dedicated members rule.

Can't say I'm surprised but still a shame to see another once promising regiment drop off.
I agree. Although it was obviously going to happen eventually, I don't quite understand why they don't just keep the regiment than just merging it into 16th. I do understand their reasons they explained to me, but they can bring 15-20 casual players to events so it doesn't make sense to split up. Even if they stick together under a different reg name thats not competitive.
I think the 55th as a line infantry regiment will still stand though I think it'll remain purely casual and not competitive.
Sad to see another competitive EU line infantry drop off, lets hope they bounce back!
