Announcement

The 14th has withdrawn from the tournament due to being unable to bring sufficient numbers. This is very unfortunate and for now, you will find a 'strikethrough' of the 14th on the schedule page on the website. I will fix the schedule without changing the order of the matches but you will not face the 14th in the tournament. On a positive note, we will hopefully release another regiment presentation tonight.

edit: I fucked up big time on this one. I thought there was a way to fix it without changing the order of the matches but there wasn't.

Ye sorry for that, too much stress to me to make sure we have the players so I'm gonna remove that stress. I plan on livestreaming the tournament matches though!
May the Shark be with you!

Announcement
I really did not want to make any changes to the order of the matches but after the 14th dropped out we sat down and tried to fix the schedule. We came to the conclusion that regiments would have had to be rested too often and at some point a regiment would have had to play 4 games in the timespan of 2 weeks. This was not optimal as regiments have events off the side of the CL. I decided to redo the randomization of the schedule. I should not have made the promise to try to keep the old schedule. I am really sorry for letting you down guys but I hope the new schedule will be manageable. You can find it here. Again, sorry!

33rd Regiment of Foot (Cavalry Company)

Regimental Leader - Tylerus
Regimental 2ndIc - Duffman
Regimental 3rdIc - SirLegion
                            Strengths:

Friendship
Teamplay, Training
Experienced leadership

Since the announcement of the Cavalry League, there has been a number of regiments signing up for the competition. One of the most unpredictable, improved and exciting regiments taking part is the 33rd Regiment of Foot Cavalry Company nicknamed 'The Unfortunate Gentlemen'. The Cavalry Company of the 33rd were formed back in 2016 when the 5te Westfarliches Landwehr merged into the 33rd Regiment of Foot. They have since then established themselves in the cavalry community and they have an experienced squad of skilled players that have played together for years and who are confident in their own ability to compete. They have established long-lasting friendships and have a very tight group of players. The Cavalry Company have gained in numbers and really started to kick-off in the competitive scene. They now have the skill and team play to compete for a good finish in the Cavalry League.

During Tylerus long reign as leader, the 33rd has gone through a transformation from being a group of players who played during events casually to becoming competitively minded. Tylerus' experience in leading cavalry will be important for the 33rd during the league. Along with his left and right arms, Duffman & SirLegion. The trio will be a vital key to the good team play of the 33rd. They are also prepared and looking forward to the challenge. Many of the players in the 33rd are known to the community and have partaken in competitive tournaments before both as players and as referees. One of the oldest members of the cavalry company is Johnson who has been around since the days of 5te and has seen the company improved greatly during the last 6 months. One of the people who contributed a lot to make the 33rd into a competitive regiment is FlashComs who has been in the regiment since 5te. He was the CO in the 33rd and was responsible for organizing 1vs1:s and pushed towards a more competitive mindset. He stepped down as an CO some time ago and stayed away from the competitive scene but will now participate with the 33rd in the league. Another one of the oldest members of the cavalry company is Johnson who has been around since the days of 5te and has improved greatly during the last 6 months.

Uganda is a player known to many he started out in the 59th cavalry company and picked up the ins and ours very quickly. He participated in the Napoleonic Wars Cavalry Nations Cup 2017 & 2020 with Scandinavia. He joined up with the 33rd in 2018 and has since been an invaluable member of their regiment. SirLegion is already a known skilled player to the cavalry community and has proven that time and time again. He is also a member that has been with the 33rd since the 5te and has been an NCO for a while now. He will be very important in their matches and is a player you can always count on. We also have the NW veteran Ferdinand who has been playing the game since 2013. He joined up with the 33rd in July of 2020 and has quickly established himself as a more than competent player.

Their ambition is there and it will be interesting to see what they can accomplish in this version of the Cavalry League. They certainly have enough skill about them to create surprises. It is also admirable to see a cavalry regiment sticking together for such a long time especially when times have been rough. They have not always had the numbers to compete and it is lovely to see their patience pay off. It will be interesting to see what they can do against the very best. And last but not least you have to mention the legacy of the 33rd Regiment of Foot which has been around since Mount & Musket and is one of the biggest and longest surviving regiments. That's what you call a community!

Can I just say that I’m really impressed with the cav community, 10x more mature than the inf community and a lot less tolerant of the cancerous players

Husaren-Regiment Nr. 4

Regimental Leader - Felix
Regimental 2ndIc - Octanidas
Regimental 3rdIc - Foxii
                            Strengths:

Aggression
Teamplay, Creating Chaos
Experienced leadership

After the announcement of the Cavalry League, one of the most hungry and skilful regiments that signed up was the Husaren-Regiment Nr4. They have partaken in many major tournaments before and even won some. They have an impressive trophy case and are well-known to the community. The Husaren-Regiment Nr.4 was formed on July 1st of 2017 by Felix in a time where the german cavalry scene was heavily represented by the 2Lr and Nr. 6. The Nr. 4 managed to establish themselves in the scene and become a serious representative in the German community. In that sense, the Nr. 4 followed the most successful formula which can be found for any NW regiment. They started from the bottom and slowly advanced to become a good regiment through training and forming a core of dedicated and skilled players and gradually improving as a group by climbing the cavalry regimental ladder by gradually facing tougher and tougher opposition.

If the theory is good, things can often look different in practice where it takes a lot of motivation and strong-will to not give-up in the making of the regiment. You lose players, you lose battles. You question yourself about the decisions taken and the ones to come. Out of 10 regiments created, 8 often don't make the cut and disband after a few months. But the Nr4 wasn't meant to be one of these. Slowly but surely, they asserted themselves, gathering more important and solid wins against stronger regiments. The recruits of yesterday turned into the veterans of today and the first ambitions for success started to appear. The Nr4 was re-formed after their disbandment, earlier this year. They quickly regained their strength with old members joining the ranks. Husaren-Regiment Nr. 4 have to be considered a serious challenger for a mid-table finish in the league.

They are training hard to regain the excellent teamplay that they have had in the past. Hopefully, they will be ready for the challenges ahead and unfortunately for them start off with the toughest possible opposition in the form of 4e. It will be a tough start for them but they will not go down without a fight. They have what they refer to as sweepers in the form of Felix, Octanidas and Achilles. All of them are known players to the community. Felix will be key to the performances for the Nr4 as he is the man with the tactics and they are going to need him alive. Since the Nr. 4 went international they managed to get some good players like MajorMark, Thyrell and Naz. Who are all proven players at the highest level and who have partaken in several tournaments. When it comes to clutches there are few players that can match Thyrell who is great on a horse and greatly skilled whilst dismounted. In Naz, they have a really skilled player who sometimes goes berserk. MajorMark is a really skilled and loyal player they have as well. Michnicki is also one of their most important players.

They have an impressive resumé of won trophies and good finishes in previous competitions. Whilst their teamplay has somewhat suffered due to a period of inactiveness/disbandment it is nothing that cannot be repaired during the course of the league.
