I'm running NTW on the highest graphics setting my computer can handle (roughly medium). And yet, looking at some of these screenshots and then comparing them to mine, one might think that I play NTW on a... toaster... or perhaps a 10 year-old computer (though dinosaur might be a more appropriate term). But... It's not... It's only a year old...  :'(

Same here. Except mines is a Xel'Naga PC.

The Second Battle of Kassel.
Or as I like to call it "The Kassel Run".
(ucwutididthar?)

France (me) vs. Prussia (AI)
Victory!

The Prussians attacked with a force roughly 3 or 4 times my size, though over-all troop quality was lower (less veterans). My only reinforcements came in the form of a company (1 unit) of Swiss Line Infantry. Then, the battle began...

I begin by setting up in the city with most of my troops in or around buildings. My cavalry is on my flanks.

The Prussians move up to attack a building defended by a group of Fusiliers and Egyptian Volunteers
They are determined to hold out to the last man, or until the building falls in around them. The Prussian horde draws nearer...
[close]
Prussian morale begins to crumble after the sustained firing, but so does the building
[close]
The Prussians advance into the building, resistance is stiff, and the fighting brutal
In the background, you can see the Polish Lancers making (what will become) a hit and run attack. Intended to buy time until Swiss reinforcements (under my control, btw) can arrive to aid the building's defenders.
[close]
More Prussian reinforcements move in
They would eventually take the building, but they payed heavily for it. The defenders achieved their goal, fighting 'till little more than a dozen total men remained. The Prussian casualties are even higher during the fighting. The building, by the end of the fighting, was about ready to collapse.
[close]
Meanwhile, a daring charge by the Dutch Lancers has caught the enemy general by surprise
Moments later, he would be killed. Followed by the passing-by of the Dragoons, who are on their way to make a surprise attack on the Prussian artillery.
[close]
The Dragoon's surprise attack succeeds, and they demolish the enemy artillery
[close]
Another charge by the Dutch Lancers sends a group of Lieb-Grenadiers into chaos
Number of Prussian survivors: 0
[close]
But all is not over yet, fresh Prussian reinforcements arrive
One unit of Leib-Grenadiers, one of regular grenadiers, and another of regular line infantry (veterans). Along with some accompanying artillery, though the Dragoons soon take-care of them, as with the other Prussian artillery units.
[close]
The glorious charge of the Grenadiers
My personal favorite picture. After a prolonged shoot-out with the Leib-Grenadiers, the French Grenadiers, out of ammo and low on men, charge the Prussians. As the Leib-Grenadiers break, the remaining Prussians follow suit, like a row of dominoes. Helped along by my few remaining cavalrymen...
[close]

The battle is a crushing defeat for Prussia, leaving them with few troops remaining in eastern Germany.

Following a horrifying defeat by a Prussian army made entirely out of Heavy Cavalry with pistols, I took the path of Carolus Rex and fled to Turkey. However, I actually took some time to recruit there...

Yeah. Not a fan of the time period, it's why I typically avoid mods like that. I must admit, it was good if you're a fan of Medieval Combat, and super native basically. :P

The Singleplayer mod you mention is called Heroes of Calradia I believe.
