The 6teSLR is proud to host the Legion's Monday line battle! We hope to provide an enjoyable experience to the NA community with this line battle, and need each regiment to stay on top of following our rules which are stated below. We maintain the right to not grant attendance to any regiment, or to remove any regiment from attendance. This line battle is on: Mondays @ 8:00 PM Eastern Time
In order to create a more fair and balanced playing experience within the North American Napoleonic Wars community, these rules and regulations have been developed to properly and quickly organize Line Battle events with minimal issues.
LINE BATTLEGeneral Rules- No ramboing.
- Firing on the Charge is NOT allowed. Firing while charging will be treated as though you are firing out of line. A slay will be given and a warning sent out.
Officer aim is not allowed unless the officer is charging. Blatant officer aim will result in a slay.
Infantry Rules- Minimum of 5 members to attend.
- If you drop below 3 for any reason (shot, members left) you must join up with another regiment.
- Spacing for line infantry is shoulder-to-shoulder. Fill gaps as individuals perish.
- Must move across the map as a line. May break into a charge but only at close ranges (no across map charging).
- Kneeling in line is forbidden unless in a double rank.
Artillery Rules- Minimum of 4, max of 10; this includes arty guard. Artillery Guard is now considered a line regiment in all regards. The only exception to this is that they may drop below 3 members and not be required to join another line. Arty guard MUST stand to fire, but may kneel to reload.
- May only field 2 artillery pieces; 2 cannons or 1 cannon/1 howitzer.
- May have one sapper.
Cavalry Rules- Minimum of 5, max of 15; If you fall below 3 members you must dismount and join a line.
- Lancers are NOT allowed and Dragoons MUST dismount to fire.
- Must move as a formation (tight blob/wedge etc).
Skirmisher Rules- Minimum of 5, Max of 15; if you fall below 3 you must join another regiment and act as line infantry.
- Skirmishers spacing is a MAX of 5 men. Beyond this you will be considered a rambo and are subject to a slay.
- Must move in formation.
Important Note: Because we are very much striving to make this fair, detachment numbers may be forced to change/not deploy in the actual line battles, depending on the opposing teams numbers.
Secondary Note: Administration is hand picked and put in place due to a generally calm demeanor and ability to handle a situation as it arises. Administrators are only human and mistakes can be made. Please bear with us as we attempt to make the battles as fair as possible. If there is a rule infraction we miss please PM us on steam, and make sure your regiment remains calm in the in-game chat. Thank you!
Third Note: Administration is given full discretion as to calling a rule infraction or delivering penalty. We are also allowed to make changes to rules if it is deemed necessary for the health of the game.
GAME MODERATION- There will be two maps, typically with the first map being first to three (also known as best of 5) and the second map being first to two (also known as best of 3). However admins have the right to shorten a map's rounds if the event appears to be dragging on.
- We all want the line battles to be a fun event, so lets all work together to make that happen! Regiment leaders we're asking you to moderate your own regiments more closely. This (hopefully) will reduce the need for an admin to step in and allow for our events to flow smoothly.
- However, an admin has the right to step in and note any rule infractions and may take the necessary steps to correct it (warning/slay/kick/ban). If you have any concerns during a line battle feel free to steam message an admin in the event.
If you do not like these rules, please do not apply. By applying to this event you accept the above rules!
