Well that's depressing but they have done alot for us and made a great mod so we cannot hold anything against them for it so if it's true i wish them all the best.

You shouldn't have said so before Hinkel announced it formally.

He wasn't going to. I posted this to let you people know that there will be no more mods from Hinkel. Also, I felt obligated to. As, like I said, Hinkel wasn't going to say anything. He's moving onto bigger and better things, good for him! He's a great modder, and his team is excellent. They did a lot for us, brought us a legacy of great Civil War mods, both Total War and Warband. I wish them the best of luck, and hopefully they'll release NaS as an OSP so people can finish it and run with it.

This is not the first time that Hinkel has pulled out of modding for Warband/NW. Give him time to sort out whatever issues are driving him away. He could come back reinvigorated. Just give him some space to cool off, he has so much on his plate that I am sure he got overwhelmed.

But he must atleast release gettysburg! I mean come on!

Now, that's the kind of thing that won't make Hinkel feel better.

The only thing i don't really like is we where all made hyped up for the Gettysburg update and then they stop developing it ( well putting it on hold, but in this situation i am afraid its the same ). I don't know what exactly made them stop developing the mod but i get the feeling its because they move on, and if this where the case, they shouldn't have made people so enthusiastic about the Gettysburg update with sneakpeaks etc.

Feel free to disagree with me, this is just my opinion on the matter.

I can understand that they stopped but this is just unproffesional.

Menelaos, the community for NaS actually just got quite he positive influx in players because of the Gettysburg announcement. Now that Hinkel and Antietam are leaving, the mod will probably go back to a few players, every here and there.
