Well, two nations for me.

For Canada....Ahem, An entire group of people was wiped off the planet so that none remain today. The Beothuk were Newfoundland's native group and the only one to originate there. The rest came from Nova Scotia. They were all killed from fighting and disease. Although there was only around 500-800 at their peak the fact that there is none left today in my opinion makes it the largest genocide in Canadian history.

It have been the French who lived in Canada at that time. And the successors of these French live in Canada today and are Canadians.

So yeah, somehow it have been the Canadians who killed the Beothuk.

No...not at all. It was the English. They were the second people to discover Newfoundland (Vikings first) and they took it as a colony. The French controlled some parts later on. They did not stay all year round and as they staying in fishing camps over summer and left in the Fall. There were very small permanent settlements. So it was not "Canadians" but the English. Also majority of Canadians have both English and French heritage.

Canada = nicer Britons.
