Lag problems

What things can cause lag? For 3 days in a row now i have experienced a lot of lag (teleporting, fps lag and blabla)

I already call my internet provider and apparently they already "fixed" it.

The thing i get is this, I want to join a server, server says i have 50 ping, i join it and ping changes to 90 and then jumps to 300 and etc..

Any ideas?, I still think its my internet.

This. I have the exact same problem and its been doing it for about 3 months now. Wish I could find a way to fix

This kind of problems make me don't want to play..

I had this with the original 7NA groopfootin server(so did a bunch of others) no one really ever found a fix, it went a way though after a week.

Edit: Someone actually did find a fix (or at least for me)       

 Try to open the task manager and set the priority of the game to  lowest. Forcing single threading might also help, however I don't think the problem is on your end.

It isnt the server though, It doesn't matter if I'm on the 27th, 54th, NA 1, or an event server it just happens randomly.

Just takes time to get back to normal for me. I had 200 ping in NA 1 for a week then it just went back to normal. And lag spikes sometimes just happen, especially in Mexico.

It's been 3 months of this, I also live In Iowa which isn't the same as Zzehth. Fireboy sent me a possible solution so I'll check that out.

Single threading will not fix your ping. If you are having random issues, you may want to try and... Open ports and make sure you are not on a proxy.

Do you use wifi or Ethernet? Maybe it's just Mexico

FPS problems: Set your max FPS to 50-60. Playing on 120FPS will make no difference from 60FPS and it only slows down your game!

Ping problems: I kept having ping spikes, and all I had to do was turn off my router/modem for about 5 minutes.

Lag havent stopped since May, losing a lot of interest now.... QQ

I already tried everything, hope it fixes itself soon
