Well match making level makes a huge difference in the people you play with. For example silvers are absolute trash with no concept of how to properly play. Many gold novas are are about the same just better individually. I would consider myself in the skill range of MG etc but am currently a GN2. And i usually top frag in my games Jesus yet my team is so bad and usually unwilling to work together that we lose as i am not good enough to carry everyone. Yes i am with a cs team but we are very in-active and majority of the members are unpleasant.
Also since that post i have ranked up twice, been playing with MG+'s and still playing well. I am assuming playing with higher ranks makes the process faster.
