Oh wow, the Netherlands actually shot forward a little bit, rather surprising. I mean, my vote is for the Netherlands but with all the Ottoman/Spanish fanboys I'm surprised that the Netherlands is even contending on the poll

I believe Spain or the Ottomans should be added. The Italians should have a special unit added to France, though (much like with the Bavarians). The Dutch could also have a special unit added to France.

I suppose if we were talking about the Kingdom of Holland that would work but the Kingdom of the Netherlands that fought at Waterloo would make more sense either as it's own faction or as part of the UK

You seem to have a huge focus on Waterloo. I believe the game is set in 1812-1815, there are hundreds of battles other than Waterloo.

I was stating that to put the Netherlands as a unit for France wouldn't make much sense unless it was the Kingdom of Holland, which, given the setting, still wouldn't make sense.

The Dutch regiments in French service (Which, by the way, isn't a correct name, as they were French.) officially wore the standard uniform of the French, but I believe some of them still had the old Kingdom Holland uniforms, especially fusilier-companies. That, of course, goes only for the troops in the 1812 Russia campaign. Any new troops raised in 1813 would have the standard uniform, and in 1814 and 1815 no Dutch troops in French service were raised.

Other nation aren't really an option. Britain had disbanded her Dutch regiments long before, Austria and Prussia never had them. Russia had the Russo-German Legion, in which quite a lot of Dutchies served, but not as a independent formation.

We should just make a 1813-14 mod for BCOF and add Dutch rebels. Winter maps, skirmishes, Cossacks running all over the place. Who would want more?

Spain makes the most sense, One of the larger Nations which fought as a part of Napoleons Coalition. The other nations such as Ottomans and the USA would be interesting purely for uniform variety. But a serious choice would be Spain especially for Peninsular Battles

If it was set during the 100 days campaign, why do the 33rd still have stovepipe shakos? Why are Russia and Austria involved? Why are French plumes still extremely long even though reforms made them much shorter? And why does the 45e have a pre-1810(I think) shako plate?
