| Formation George III ordered John, Duke of Argyll, to raise a kilted regiment of 1,100 men. The Duke requested assistance from his kinsman, Duncan Campbell, and on the 9th of July, 1794, they were formally gazetted into the British Army as the 98th (Argyllshire Highlanders) Regiment of Foot, later to be renumbered as the 91st. On the 5th of May, 1795, the regiment embarked for South Africa to capture the Dutch colony in the Cape of Good Hope. Cape of Good Hope The 98th Highlanders arrived at Simonstown in September of 1795 as part of a force of around 4,500 men under the command of Sir Alured Clarke, an ambitious officer who sought great military renown in the conquest of the Dutch colony, but luck fell against him. His second-in-command landed forces and had driven the Dutch off their defensive position in front of Cape Town. After a cautious disembarkation lasting ten days, Sir Alured faced the vastly outnumbered Dutch at Wynberg, who retreated after giving one volley, which killed one seaman and wounded 17 others total. So the 98th, technically, was baptized in fire, settling down as the garrison for seven unhappy years, where they faced heatstroke and disease, and a uniform change which served no better in the climate than their original. Upon the regiments renumbering to 91st, they had left Cape of Good Hope to the Dutch after the Treaty of Amiens, and gathered at Bexhill in May of 1803. Depleted in numbers after sending men to replenish garrisons in India, it took them years to be restored to strength, as well as have their old uniform returned to them. The boosts in confidence had inspired the 91st during their return to England as part of the forces gathered in hopes to defeat Napoleon if the admirals ever allowed him to cross the British Channel. In 1805, the Highland Brigade was sent to Hannover, but they were sent back to Kent in 1806. Throughout all of these relocations, they had remained a very good regiment. They were inspected ceaselessly and earned the 'Strong Approbation' of the generals. The Commander-in-Chief, H.R.H and Duke of York, was 'Highly Pleased' with them in 1805. Even more so, Sir John Moore was 'Extremely Well-Pleased'; and before they left Dublin in June of 1808 to join the amassing army in Portgual, they paraded for the Lord Lieutenant. The Peninsular War The campaign in Portugal was disappointing for the 91st. The light company was engaged at Rolica, but the regiment as a whole was in reserve and had not engaged in either major battle. It was again in the reserve division for Sir John Moore's march to Salamanca which disrupted Napoleon's whole campaign; and it came into its own at last when the reserve division became the rearguard for the retreat which culminated in Moore's victory at Corunna. The 91st had more than their fair share of privations and forced marches and losses while in the rearguard. At Corunna itself, though 'in the very centre of the line and next to the Guards', they were not heavily engaged. 'Corunna', nevertheless, was a worthily won Battle Honour to be placed on the Colours beside 'Rolica' and 'Vimeira'. | (https://i.imgur.com/SsOSefa.png) | Now the 91st embarked on the Welcheren campaign. From September 3rd to 23 December 23rd, an army of 40,000 men lay encamped there because the generals could not agree on what to do with them. During these four months no less than 35,000 of them passed through the military hospitals or the grave. By September 23rd, after only three weeks, the 91st had only 246 rank and file fit for duty. From disease the regiment lost a total of 218 dead - far more than all their casualties in the Corunna campaign. They rejoined Wellington in 1812, thus missing Vitoria, but were with the 6th Division at Sorauren on 28th and 30th of July, 1813, in what Wellington called 'bludgeon work', they played a decisive part in dislodging Marshal Soult from the positions he hoped to hold in the Pyrenees. On the first day the 91st suffered 115 killed and wounded out of a total strength of 821 . On the second day, when the brigaded light companies bore the brunt, they got off lightly, but clearly played their full part in what even Wellington called 'desperate fighting', adding that he had 'never known the troops behave so well'. 'Pyrenees' was another battle honour on the 91st Colours which was well and truly earned. They were to win five more in France: 'Nivelle', 'Nive', 'Orthes', 'Toulouse', and 'Peninsula'. The first three were not costly, and the only distinction was the promotion in the field of the Adjutant, Lieutenant MacNeil of Colonsay after he had had two horses killed under him at the passage of the Nivelle. At Toulouse, on 10th of April, 1814, Soult put up a last fight, which cost Wellington almost 5,000 casualties. Sir Denis Pack's Highland Brigade led an attack brilliantly, ending with the 42nd and 78th holding three captured enemy redoubts, and the 91st in close support in a farmyard behind. The crunch came when a French column, 6,000 strong, counter-attacked. The 42nd were driven back in disorder, but the prompt support of the 91st gave them time to reform; and the two battalions together successfully retook the position. When the 91st got back to the farmhouse the other wing was in trouble; they sallied out, restored the position, and incidentally rescued a large party of the 78th who had been surrounded. Every general present reckoned that only the prompt and vigorous support afforded by the Argyllshire Regiment had saved the Brigade. So the war ended for the 91st in a blaze of glory, with nine battle honours on the Regimental Colour. Waterloo At Waterloo they were left far on the right flank; and though they got the campaign medal, that great battle was never inscribed on their Colours. One more fragment of military glory nevertheless came their way. They saw their first and last action at the disastrous night attack on the fortress of Bergen-op-Zoom in 1814, and thanks to Ottley's training did very well. All four of the assaulting columns successfully stormed the outer walls, only to be thrown back by superior numbers of veteran French troops manning the inner defenses. The battalion withdrew in admirable order, leaving 13 officers and an unrecorded number of men wounded and losing altogether 45 killed or mortally wounded. So far as is known, the Surgeon and Assistant Surgeon were the only unwounded to fall into enemy hands; and Sergeant-Major Cahill was commissioned in the field for saving the Regimental Colour when the Ensign carrying it went down. So, having unexpectedly found a niche in military history, the 2nd Battalion came home to be disbanded after sending 240 men to the 1st Battalion for the Waterloo campaign. |

I started this character pretty well off (attractive, genius, etc.), but nothing too OP. However, I quickly became OP when I found and hatched a dragon egg, found and reforged a Valyrian Steel sword, and became nothing short of a War God after successfully conquering Pentos, Braavos, Norvos, etc. A couple of wars and colonizations later, and my domain reaches farther than a couple arms reaches. Just so everyone knows, this was done in only about 20 in-game years.
Current goals:
1. Declare war on the God King of Yi Ti and show his vassal kings and followers what a real God-among-Men looks like.
2. Colonize and continue to conquer every piece of territory in Essos that I possibly can.
3. Conquer everything south of Westeros and Essos (Sothoryos and minor landmasses)
4. Invade Westeros from the South, East, and North, and declare my dynasty Emperors of the Known World.
Pretty simple. After all, I already own 2.8 of the empires.
EDIT: For those who don't know, Ruins can be colonized and restored and re-inhabited, but Dothraki fields are nearly impossible to keep in your domain for an extended period of time. To keep one satisfied takes a lot of effort and a lot of lords, from what I've seen.

July 31st, 2014. This marks the day I'll let some people down. This is the day I look back on the people who let me down, as foolish as that sounds for a gaming community. This is the day I lay the scottish saber at rest.
It's been nothing short of a blast- okay, I'll not lie, these past months have been a poorly designed roller coaster that I would have rather lived without.
Perhaps it was overly ambitious to pick a regiment like the 91st to take the reigns of. Maybe it wasn't. Maybe with the members we had--myself, Orcaryo, Forest, CJH, Achilles, Habsburger, and many, many more--we could have really made it something special. In fact, every time it would reach a point in which we really were on the right track to succeeding, the track would end and we would crash, almost always due to someone's dedication and ability not reaching up to their expectations--envy, jealousy, whatever would inspire it.
I'll be honest. It's hard to enjoy this game. It's hard to enjoy this community. Throughout its lifespan, Mount & Blade: Warband: Napoleonic Wars has turned into no less than a competition and heartless community. I've seen faces that I once saw as optimistic, friendly, and well-spirited, turn to pessimistic, hateful, and dooming. I've seen really amazing people turn into faceless creatures that care about nothing more than being a name on a tag. I've seen regiments form with bonding in mind, only to result in bonded pockets splitting and disbanding, forming new regiments, and going inactive. I've seen friends turn to enemies, people who I would talk to for ridiculous amounts of time at a time to people who refuse to communicate to me--over things like demotions. I've seen people hate other people for absolutely no reason other than them not being under their own command, at times.
I'm not here to spite, so I'll leave names out of it. But there are a lot of people who I expected so much better out of at times. Just more humane reasoning behind their actions.
For the people on the forums, which this primarily is meant for clearly, I request something from all of you. Please, go look at your post history. Look at the posts you used to make. The amount of smiley emojis and general confidence you had in total strangers. The amount of spirit you had for this community and game, that showed you really had optimism about it, that you really enjoyed it. Then look at your recent posts. How more careless you have become in your posts, and how less you care about others success. When a regiment formed years ago, regardless of their thread's quality or amount of members, people would post "Good luck! ;)" and "Welcome to NW!" but that shine has seemed to have left a lot of us. Now, when a regiment forms, people are so quick to criticize, demeanor, judge, and pick at.
I don't want to sound like a kindergarten teacher or some sort of preacher. This community has genuinely become disgusting. It's become too much for me--too much of people rejecting regiments because they're not skillful, instead of judging them on their communal friendships, too much of people leaving regiments for others because those others have reached a certain level of prestige or status, instead of sticking through it because those members mean something to them. I don't mean to sound holier-than-thou, but the only reason I haven't given up on leading my dedicated and loyal group and join some regiment that defines itself on 1v1s and groupfighting server popularity, is because of that dedicated and loyal group. Those people who really show me every day that they're with me until the end because they want to be with me until the end, not because they want to out-do or best anyone else.
This doesn't go to one person or group above any other: I really would like to see you all happier. (faggot! lol) Genuinely, I'd really like to see people enjoying this game because it's fun for them, and because they enjoy the people they play with, not because they have to make their regiment or fame bigger and better than everyone else.
The 91st, as far as I know, isn't disbanding. However, this is my official resignation from the 91st, and I'd dearly like to see it, as well as the rest of NW, play together still simply because they enjoy it.
Additionally, I'd just like to say that there are some awesome people in this community. Amazingly talented, smart, funny... this community really, really is unique.
I'll still be around for a little while before I set out for the great unknown, so I'm in a way, happily-melancholic about leaving NW. I will surely miss some of you, but I simply don't handle stress well, and the stress of a regiment that constantly strives to be better, and better, and better, while I only truly find fun in the game when I focus on the community aspects of it, really doesn't help me.
And to the 'haters': I guarantee that at some point in time, I really wanted to be your friend. Sorry for offending in whatever way I had.

If the leader of a regiment is banned from a community then why should he choose to respect that communities regiment ownership verbal contract. By casting someone out of a community he has no reason to respect its petty rules and understandings. In most cases there is a reason why someone gets banned. I am in no way an FSE-fanboy but I try to behave according to the rules and not give anyone a reason to ban me. Its something that should be expected out of everyone, especially regimental leaders, since we are using a forum belonging to a company its their rules no matter how much you may dislike said rules. Just grow up and accept it, no one is forcing anyone to post here.
I would say that a ban of a regimental leader has pretty much no effect on how "official" your regiment is, rather the activeness of your regiment, do you attend NW events etc? Its quite easy to determine if a regiment is active or not, why not simply ask their members? Steam, FSE, Taleworlds, etc. But yeah, any one older than 15 knows that its not proper manners to copy another regs name and tags. Frankly all the people that have joined the 91st have joined not for tav (although alot have im sure.) But more because the 91st can bring what so many off us have craved for so long.... a good disciplined regiment with good skill good discipline and a good community behind it of almost 50 people on ts at all times playing other games (I know the 92nd has this). Best of all, the 91st doesnt need to prove itself as we already know we are top 3 best EU already. If you say thats a stupid reason just to join a regiment then all i have to say is look at regiments like Nr24, then think again.
