I was reading something about the Paris Commune in 1871 (during and after the war) and I asked myself : why we couldn't play a french communard faction ?

She will be consisting of french line infantry, the Garde Nationale and group of armed citizen marxists (red flag) and anarchists (black flag).
Maybe work a map of Paris's Wall for the sieges of the city, etc...

I believe that it could be interesting.

The French will have access to various semi-military units, search the thread. It should be possible to have such battles, in fact my map is designed for such battles.

You can really see the influence that French uniforms at the time had on American civil war uniforms. It's interesting to see how the two countries have interwoven their cultures throughout the years.
