No, because it's something innovative and not seen before. People will stick on it as long as there are updates coming.

It will die within 2 months of coming out like every other mod.

Can't tell if stupid or troll...

It's true...
I'm pretty sure both N&S and B&I have big weekly events and those two are the majority of mods released for NW...

To some people a mod is dead if they go online and don't instantly see full servers, regardless of events going on.

People said the same thing about TGW 5.0, the biggest mod for NTW, took them some 3 years to make. It petered out rather quickly, the majority stopped playing it after a month or so.

Did you forget that TGW was broken on release? No multiplayer, no saves and glitches all over the place. Of course people will lose interest.

What do you guys think Rigadoon and the IE team are going to do once the mod is released? I think they are secretly going to work on Iron Europe 2: Poland's Revenge   :)

It was just an unnecessary comment that did nothing in helping the development of IE.

WW1 simply doesn't work for Total war. Battle of Empires, a ww1 mod for Men of War will work much better.

Does over half the conversations on here help the development of IE?

90% of your comments don't help the development of Iron Europe either, i don't think you're in a position to claim moral superiority. 90% of this thread is composed of rather unnecessary comments.

Well Will, although the TW engines may not be the best of a WW1 mod, it's not like the warband engine is much better suited. Especially with the movement mechanics which feel rather clumsy and the lack of destruction (Trees for example). Not meant to be a comment to drag the team down, just being realistic.

Agreed, most of this forum page talks about things that have nothing to due with IE. Other then the few occasional "when is the mod being released?" blah blah blah. Anyway sorry im tired.

Well.. Warband has no destruction... NW introduced that feature. And it is possible to make trees destructible. Just make them sceneprops and make them destructible in code.

But it is damn expensive on server perfromance. So I would not do that. :P
