Screw NW, NW has become tiresome for me then again I have been playing Mount and blade for almost 2 years. In my opinion it is time for a new mod to grab everyone's attention, bring people back into this community and reverse the slow dying of this game. I believe that this mod might have the ability to do so or L'aigle; which ever comes first.

problem with L'aigle is it is still Napoleonic, IE is a whole new ball game (lol talking like an American)
[close]

While the development of L'Aigle is taking it's sweet time, it will also be free. A mod of a DLC would hardly reach the same numbers of people playing, despite that if some NW regiments actually put in say 1 event a week it will at least be worth playing.
[close]
Actually you're wrong there, Mount and Musket was the predecessor of NW but it was merely a mod and during its prime I think more people played it than NW during thats prime.

Where did I mention predecessor and M&M?

Only mentaly ill people would go for NW over this.

I will prioritize NW over this and I am sure many regiments will do the same.
If I may ask, why? NW has been around for more than 2 years and there is nothing more to come for it and it's on the decline aswell.
Just as everyone abandoned MM for NW, should we do they same for IE.

Wow there. It isn't going to be a mass migration to IE. Don't expect so much.

I was giving an example that even though a game maybe paid for won't neccesarily make it more popular than a mod.

I don't think rivalries between regiments will be as bad in this, a well placed mg can sort out conflicts in a matter of seconds.  ;)

Says who?
There is no reason to play NW when IE comes.
I can't find any sense in it.

-Better textures
-Better modules
-Better sounds
-More gameplay features
-New units
-WW1
-Better shooting system
-New mapping module

Maybe to you, but not everybody is attracted to WW1 or this mod in particular.
I'm fairly sure there will be a reasonable amount of people that will play IE but they won't completely abandon NW.

Still doesn't make sense. You have to agree that Iron Europe is better in every possible way.

How can I agree to that if I haven't played it yet?

If Iron Europe can keep me happy for roughly 3 years then I'll tell you that it is better than NW and MM combined

Mods are just Fads, everyone gets excited, full 200 servers within the first week, then they gradually become bored of it.

It's a vicious cycle. Not saying it will happen to IE but it's happened a lot.

I don't think Rigadoon would lie. You don't really need to play it to see the difference.
Just look at the units and trailers and tell me how NW is better.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The game may look gorgeous but that doesn't make it a good game.
I will only be able to judge when I play the mod.
