Those sounds are amazing and the trenches, holy molly!

I managed to pick up 1/2 second of the running animation and it looks so good!

Are those effects final? because a mortar explosion should be mostly dirt with very little smoke and flash.

Otherwise, nice work.

I thought the same :) Also the mortar smoke, too much, too little? Would be interesting to have your opinion!

Would be great to add more shrapnel, to substitute for pebbles and mud being kicked up into the air.

Looks great!

This is simply a suggestion, I have no major knowledge on how sniper teams worked during the first World War, but will there be spotters with binoculars under the sniper class? I think it would be a very interesting mechanic if the sniper itself was harder to use without a spotter, though I'm not sure how you would implement that.

There should be some smoke from the mortar itself, but it should be very faint and dissipate quickly. I've also never seen a flash from a mortar.

. Not quite a WW1 mortar, but it's all the same principle.
