It's like they saw Saving Private Ryan thought "how can we make something equally stupid but in World War I?"

It's likely that this will be the most common form of combat.

Mid round ceasefire naturally to get a horse unstuck from the barricades on the map  ;D

I agree. While some parts of it were ok, if some YOLO bearing 16 year old girls in my class can say "OMG, I love War Horse" then the character of movie is summed up right there and then isn't it?

I was referring to the clip of the frogs. That's not from War Horse is it?

What is the mod team primarily focusing on right now?

Also, I think it would very interesting if artillery had more of a knock down effect, because in NW if a howitzer shell lands near you but does not kill you, you get stunned for a little bit then right back up on your feet again. I think it would be alot better if it took longer to get up on your feet again.

I can't imagine an MG for NW, it would be brutal  :P Battles would have to change to CTF or TDM cause a Battle would end in a minute or two  ;)

So, out of curiosity, my debate with Docm30 aside, after the faction for Britain is completed, do you guys have plans to create another Central faction, hopefully the Austrians (I can contribute heavily to the creation of the Austrians with loads of pictures and historical information), or fill the last two factions with various units in each alliance?

The shock propaganda of MGs in WWI still holds true for some reason. I've seen allied bumrushes through MG-42 fire in gaming have less casualties than what WWI movies would have you believe.

Those kinds of casualties might make sense if the German trench was, say, twenty feet away and lined with machine-guns. With a more realistic distance and number of weapons, it looks bloody ridiculous.
