Uhm, "ee" does not exist in the German language. So, "pioneer" is pionier. The abbreviation is also Pion.

I am German too, and there is no "ee" in the German I speak. The "ee" sound is always ie.

May I ask where you were born in germany / austria / switzerland (Bundesland)?
Because then your german is terribly wrong cuz there is only one german (with lots of dialects like saxon, bavarian, swabian etc.) and in that all those words are "ee".
