Please make the ukranian faction unless you are going to incorperate ukranians on the russian team.

Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire in that time, not an independent nation.

The Cossack Hetmanate was autonomous well into the 1760's, and did have it's own independent army; Ukrainians fought on both sides of the war. There were Mazepa's Cossacks (What I would consider true freedom-fighting "Ukrainians"), who fought under Karl's banner, and those Cossacks who stayed subordinate to the Russians (Being most of them).

As I've stated before, I'd love to see Ukrainian units embedded in both factions, but certainly not as their own independent army. I'm rather of the position that Mazepa was a hero to Ukraine, and I think most Western Ukrainians would agree. Eastern Ukrainians, of course, would be more opposed to that thought, I should think. Thus, I think it would be fair to simply include them in both factions, with varying equipment and uniforms as an auxiliary unit.

In Russia they were more of a militia that could be considered Elite Guerrilla troops that went as skrimishers ( perfect idea for a skrimisher unit for the Russians =D ). Of course, there were the standard cavalry with lances, too, yet much more equipped than their infantry counterparts, who went in almost home-made fur coats and had a huge uniform variation (most changed during late Petar I's reign with modernization) :) :) :)

This is of course, to my personal knowledge, confront if you wish to xD I don't got much knowledge of this era

You are misusing the term 'skirmisher' for an 'irregular'. Which is a common mistake and a big annoyance to me. People often use the words indifferently, but there's a difference.

Skirmishers are simply regular troops in an open skirmish formation. They don't have to be specialized or rifle-armed (though they often were). The (official) cavalry-term for skirmishing is being 'en vedette', but it's basically the same - either scouting (terrain) or firing pot-shots at enemy skirmishers to make way for the regiment.

Irregulars would make the worse skirmishers in a real combat situation - they were the least organized, trained and could easily run unless they were packed into a big formation with moody halberd-armed NCO's behind it.

Anyway, to the modders - Good luck and I'm hoping to see some nice ridiculous big coated cavarly soon!  ;)

For all those people awaiting this mod, i suggest you take a few minutes of listening to Sabaton if you like Sweden ( Carolus Rex album ).. Or maybe watch that shitty Poltava movie if you like Russians  ::)

The only good line in that movie is where the Swedish captain says " NER...PÅ KNÄ! "...Best pickup line ever   8)

Careful Doc, you could end-up starting a small war here with comments like that. :P

Anyways, it's the similar theme that he's getting at. (The Great Northern War)

Love Sabaton's music. Konig was quite right, watch your tongue!

Also, can't wait to play Sweden. Going to be so fun. ;)

Sooo, nubs.

How is the progress?
Dekkers has become the community's designated old man with alzheimers who sits in the corner reminiscing about simpler times, happier times... "The spins" he wails "do you remember the SPINS!!!"

Music can't be objectively good or bad, so any statement on how good or bad certain music is can only be a matter of opinion.

You're such a Debby Downer and a Negative Nancy.

Here is the definiton for you:

Function: Noun

1. a: a person who says something terribly depressing (a downer), typically only tangentially related to the present circumstance or topic of conversation, and thereby destroys the positive atmosphere.

I think you need the definition of the word 'depressing'.
