You like that stuff? Jesus Christ, what are you?

I was quite surprised we were with a Zouave unit. I was a little upset at not being able to go Confederate, but the Brooklyn were a bunch of amazing lads, and the uniform was nice and distinguishable. The red facings and red pants made me feel special.

Well, one time a man let me check out his Morgan Rifle.  A very unpleasantly heavy weapon, I must say.

During yesterday's reenactment my group was short of drummer boys, thus placing me, the new guy, as the provisional drum...

5 min crash course before the event, then I had to improvise my way through the field, feeling, looking and sounding like an idiot.
