Any openings for beta? I missed the Alpha :/.

I'm undecided on doing an open beta or not. Thoughts? But don't just say yes because you want to play the mod sooner.

I think an open beta would be a great idea. It would be a good way to get the mod out to a larger audience and more regiments. It would also be able to test the gameplay and servers with larger amounts of people, "stress test" the mod, so to speak. You could also get more feedback and observe the gameplay dynamics on pub servers, adjusting mechanics accordingly. A closed beta, as I see it, has no real advantages.

Well, the mod gets tested but without most people playing it, meaning everyone is still excited. I'm worried that doing an open beta means that when it's finished no one will be interested.

On another note, these have definitely got to be a future unit.

Well, if you wait too long for the open beta/final version to be released, not a lot of people will show interest in it either.

I believe its more of a technical thing more than anything. If you believe the mod is ready for bigger linebattles + more people on public servers, then by all means then do it, yet at the same time if you believe there are more bugs and glitches that effect gameplay dramatically which need to be ironed out, keep it in closed alpha for a little longer.

Wow, those are really good! But, why is there a neck part of the uniform? It looks really weird with the heads. It's like the same thing with the zouaves.

They look really nice and i'll be glad to put them in.

Wow, those are really good! But, why is there a neck part of the uniform? It looks really weird with the heads. It's like the same thing with the zouaves.

There isn't too much I can do for the neck, the head model has a neck which doesn't clip through the clothing on other units, which when it comes to units without a collar, it means their head floats a bit, so with a unit like the zouaves who don't have collars, i had to make a fake neck so their heads weren't completely floating, but it's still more noticable when the head moves, and of course as soon as you change your face skin the skin colour of the neck stops matching. There isn't a huge amount i can do about this, i've made the neck on the head model slightly longer which looks a bit better though. Ultimately it comes down to the fact that M&B has a head model separate from the body.

Hi, nice work. May i say that the rank patches aren't correct for ranker 2 and QM, they shouldn't form a "V" but look like ranker 1 instead. Ranker 2 should have two or three parallel stripes, like this : http://marine-nationale62.skyrock.com/photo.html?id_article=969575284&id_article_media=-1

I think that might be a different unit.

No, he's correct. The ranks are wrong on the models. They need to be reworked accordingly. Either way, it's still very good work.

Lets wait for Willhelm take time on the medics then when he feels like its the time then he releases it.
Better to have finished then unfinished right?, like the closed alpha.(Which is awesome by the way, I love it)
