The Krupp is the most amazing weapon to ever grace Mount & Blade.

The Chassepot is more satisfying though /: Damn those French and their more modern rifle.

Of course.
The Dreyse M1862 Zundnadelgewehr needle-gun and the Chassepot model 1866 are very impressive rifles and it's rate of fire is extremely high for the epoch.
The franco-prussian war aroused the interest for the breech-loading rifles in every army of Europe.

While a muzzle loading musket can shoot three or four rounds per minute, the Chassepot and the Dreyse can fire 15 per minute.

The fire rate of the dreyse would reduce because it got so hot and it would often blow gas into the shooters face, it miss fired a lot too, the seals on the breach also wore down with continuous firing, meaning so much gas escaped that it could go from 600 meters effective range to 300 meters effective range or less. Those features can't truly be represented in M&B but in real life the chassepot was completely superior.

That is right, unfortunately the dreyse had many limitations, but it can be compared to the Chassepot.

Assuming the seal on the breech didn't give out, and you were within a few hundred meters, the dreyse and chassepot were equal enough, which is the situation in mount and blade at least.
