Swords and code. I'd show the swords but they're very similar to the napoleonic ones and I'm too lazy to take pictures for that.

Mod looks pretty great so far, good luck! :D

Also, does anyone know a website where I can look up the uniforms for the soldiers? I'm trying to find a picture of the 24th Royal Saxon Infantry Division's uniforms.

Hi, you've got some in the Osprey Men-At-Arms nr 422, and some here too (in French but still) : http://antan.unblog.fr/category/uniformes/page/3/

@Willhelm : very nice mod here, i'm working on a similar mod for Operation Flashpoint. May i add that the Francs tireurs (French irregulars) did in fact usually wear uniforms (rather funny, see here : http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b84269099.r=de+Ridder+estampes.langFR).

I have been wondering this all the day, Willhelm.
How will you balance the issue with the mitrailleuse as the prussians didn't had any machineguns in the war (please correct me if we had)

 :)

Indeed they did, but after the fall of the second empire, the mods first release is set at the start of the war, where the Franc tireurs were a lot less organised.

I don't know if I'll manage to even have a mitrailleuse sorry. I will if i can, in which case i'd make it take a while to reload or something.

I am talking about how it should work, not about how it should be deployed

Yeah, it was an artillery piece technically as the french called it cannon of bullets and it was used as artillery instead of a infantry support weapon.

Yes, it was proven very effective against infantry but was used mainly as an counter artillery system. The same kind of French misuse of good military devices as they did with armored units in 1940.

I know I haven't updated in a while but it's because I'm mainly doing the code, which is difficult and taking a while, I'm being helped but the person helping me is quite busy. The good news is one that's done closed alpha can be released. I'll be releasing a list of regimens accepted soon.
