I don't think that should matter. Units are units... How many French units and Prussian units do you have? I can probably help you with your unit rosters.

6 French infantry and 5 Prussian infantry, I'm trying to make them all different units rather than different regiments with the same uniform.

Prussians can have x1 Landwehr, x2 Line Infantry, x1 Jaegers, x1 Guard Infantry, x1 Pionier Corps (Sapper and a Specialist Infantry).

Then, adding the French Marines would have 7 infantry over 6 infantry. Not a big deal.

You could add a line infantry unit with greatcoats.
Or maybe Prussian marines to even it out.

BTW, I love your prussian dragon unit but it seems you are having a hard time finding different looking units. I found a cav unit that looks pretty nice.
I have also seen somewhere (can't remember) that some cav units had the pickelhaube but not a spike on top. They had a eagle on top instead. This probably was only available to the higher ranks.

And as you can see they also had shiny metal pickelhaubes.
I know it might be hard to add the shine though.

And this is the greatcoat line infantry:

Well, I think it would be very great to add troops of the Brigade Bredow to the prussian cav. I think von Bredow's Death Ride at Mars la tour is the best known cavalrycharge in the franco-prussian war. The Regiments who participate at the "Todesritt" were the Magdeburgische Kürassier-Regiment Nr. 7 (http://www.grosser-generalstab.de/sturm/img3/stm3_060.jpg) and the Altmärkischen Ulanenregiment Nr. 16

here is a link for a lot of german uniforms between 1864 and 1871: http://www.grosser-generalstab.de/adjutant.html
then press "    Deutsche Uniformen v. H. Knötel d.J. u. M. Lezius " and then at the top " 1864-1871", then the arrow on the book on the right side and there u can choose country and troops

If this is a Prussian Marine, then yes, it would be awesome if you added them. :D

And wonderful site Wolff!

If you are adding French Marines, let the Prussian Marines join in for the ride. Maybe do it like NW is eventually going to do when the last of those lazy Warband beta tester jack asses hand over their reports for the next patch and throw in some Prussian and French Sailors too?

I already have all those sources but thanks. I am going to do Prussian Hussars and Cuirassiers. I'll probably do marines if it's viable and I think the alternate line infantry will have greatcoats on.

Well i need to code in fixing bayonets and medics, then balancing, setting up a good server and then I can release closed alpha.

Mostly a Cavalry update but also some other things.

The first image is the Francs-tireurs, French Partisans, civilian resistance, after the fall of the second empire they became a lot more organised and started getting uniforms, but before that they were a lot more irregular. They also can have a top hat which isn't shown there.

Now for the Cavalry.

And here is a medic of the International Red Cross, available to both sides.

You can also now block while in firearm mode.

Not being offensive but dont you think it will be a little wierd if you were to randomly block while halting fire from a distance it will look wierd it wuold something like this

Offocer:present arms

Rankers: hup!

Officer: at ease!

Rankers: wa hey

Officer: why are you saying wa hey men?

Rankers:  becuase we are blocking everytime we go at ease we must always grunt when we block.

For example still good odea though.

Well you can choose the way you want to shoulder arms now. But most of all I was sick of fumbling about between pressing X when you need to block and shoot quickly.

Okay great thanks

Is closed Alpha for regiments only?
