I recall you said you didn't have any colour images of the Prussian Garde, which makes me think you haven't seen the Vinkhuijzen collection, so I figured I'd link it to you just in case you haven't. Tons of Franco-Prussian War uniforms there.

Wow that site is good, laidd out well too, thanks. I did manage to find some decent resources on the garde though. I do need 6 Prussian infantry units, and i currently have 4, I want them all to be unique but I might have to end up doing more using more or less the same uniforms because it was all so standardised by then.

well, you could integrate some "german" units in Prussia. Like Bavarians, Würtemberger, Sachsen, ......
Some of them had other uniforms then the prussians but fought together with them

You could add a third faction that would consist of units from the smaller german states.
I know it's a bit early to talk about though.

Thats my plan, and to do the same for the French with their foreign troops. But not for the first release.

Believe it or not, but I've seen people of other nationalities do it too.
