Mixed feelings. Looks like Minecraft (yes, I went there), but kind of more, in-depth. I like how the crafting and building looks, though.

The blocky kind of games are called voxel games.  :P

They said outright that part of their inspiration was Minecraft.

Honestly, it looks like Dwarf Fortress for less patient people, like me.

That said, I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this.

It's like towns, slow paced but indepth, it's a good deal for £12.

I know, but Minecraft has a distinct look, and this game looks like Minecraft. I know what voxelcraft games are... Silly goose.

*Shuffles about on nest.* It looks more like cubeworld to be honest, art wise.  :P

yea.  Looks like it has a better crafting system than minecraft.     But overall it looks very similar to Cubeworld

Another good looking game, the two will compete and try to outdo each other hopefully making for each into a better game than would be tried by the makers without any form of insentive. Though Timber & stone was out a good few months before Stonehearth, Stonehearth is relasing on steam and through steam it might over shadow Timber & stone.
So it could turn out good or bad for anyone and of course zealous fanboyism is going to arise somewhere.  :-\

What's drawing me towards Stonehearth is how it's meant for city building. I like the way he was using small plots of land as resource dumps, and how simply, but awesome, it was to build houses.
