Hate to bust your bubble, but not just the Russians used the colour green. The Kingdom of Holland, the Danes, the Brits, the French, the Austrians, the Italians, the Spaniards and the Kingdom of the Netherlands all used green to dress entire regiments. I'm probably forgetting a nation or two, but these were the ones I could come up with.

The Russians used plenty of other colors. Blue, white, red, you name it.

The whole 'You can recognize the nation by the colour of the uniform!'-thing is a big fat lie that only goes up in Continental line vs British regular line. Which is why Americans always spread that nonsense around.

Not independent but in the Swedish army they had several recruitment grounds in Finland and a large part of the army was Finnish in this timeframe, so i like giving them recognition for their service.

Depends on the time frame really, i most often see a green top and grey pants. However i do know they did have all grey later on in the war, if i remember correctly.

So? The French had recruitment grounds from Ireland to Lithuania, the Brits from India to the Africa, and the Russians...well, the Russians... It's of course, only proper to give them the recognition they deserve, but they are not an independent nation nor an independent force. Of course, they are Finnish and not Swedish, but you get my meaning. ON-TOPIC!
