Well, Creative Assembly is definitely developing some sort of Warhammer game. There was a picture of a developer module for Rome II that had a Warhammer folder in it... Whether it is going to be a total war, which it is rumored to be, or not, is for time to tell. There is a lot of speculation though with the way Rome II is that it's a test for using "magical abilities" similar to what you'd expect to see in a Warhammer game.

Just because CA buys the rights for Warhamme doesn't mean they are going to make it TW.
They are a growing company which is doing a MOBA(Arena), a tabley game(TW:Battles) and has previously made sports-games. It's only natural they are expanding instead of sitting with only an old franchise.
