Because a public closed-beta makes perfect sense.

You can't have a public closed-beta. A closed-beta means only a select few people can test the mod, not the entire public which means it's open beta.

Right now myself and Hall are discussing people from the forums and certain regiments. Basically I will send you a message asking if you want to as well as several things you have to agree to. If you do that then you get the link AFTER you respond to the message. After that we will see how many people we have and if we need more then we will post a request for people to test. It will be the same idea but will be done at a random selection from the people who want in. After we let the closed testers try and break everything we will fix things if needed and do a public beta release when we feel that enough time has been given.

Assuming we dont have any set backs IRL then we should have something filmed and out to all of you by New Years. I'm probably only going to put out a total of 3 more uniforms(Union artillery and a cav unit for each side) before we do any gameplay footage.

Good to hear that you guys are moving into testing phase. I'm interested to see what the game-play will be like and how it'll differ from North&South.

Its been done before...
Nope.

i think N&S wont be as historically accurate as HWM. Unless Hinkel has made some changes?

Although being very irrelevant to this topic, feeling festive right now as it is officially Christmas day in the UK.  I hope each and everyone of you who reads this has a Merry Christmas, Including Hinkle and co.

I'll try and get some eye candy for you guys soon :P
