2)And in case you havent heard Fse developers are going to make a dlc based in the civil war.(battle cry of freedom)

Its not a DLC, its a standalone game + It wont be out for a few years so I don't think that's going to be a problem.

sorry thx for correction

I have a question... how is this different from North and South?

This was the first question on this post jump there and you can see the answer =)

"Dispassionate, fair, equal"
Oh you wanted a serious response, why didn't you just say so.

This mod is focusing on historical accuracy as far as uniforms and the weapons used as well as maps. We are trying our hardest to to keep balance while at the same time keeping the mod as close to what it was on those days in July of 1863. We are also only focusing on 1863 primarily on Gettysburg but also with a few maps of lead up battles. I hope this answered your question and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

What I think is that everyone ought to join together and do so only mod better, and do not equal three hundred mods.

Is my opinion.

I mean, you join with North and South team, and do a mod best among all.

I agree. Honestly, I don't think I'd play this. North and South is already good enough. Sure, maybe you could join together and get North and South's player-base back up, and could bring back a-lot more events.

We attempted to join Hinkel when he restarted but he wanted nothing to do with us since we are reenactors and we are striving for historical accuracy. He said no because of that fact and that we would be "picking everything apart". So this is a mod that is going to have 100% Historical accurate uniforms and weapons as they appeared and were used in July of 1863. Basicly we offered our help and he said no because we love historical accuracy in uniforms and weapons.

In my opinion thats no reason... but meh.
Id suggest giving your models a lot more work (Yes, I know its still WIP)
Im not sure but also give them something to make them look less plain. And add maybe some shadow to the pockets maybe. Like NW does.
And remember the Normal maps.
The first modder for NW.

Im just telling everyone why we are doing this but any who those models are still Lv.1 they have no dirt, wrinkles, tears, and so on. We are currently working on making them as they appeared whether they would be all torn and nasty or newer and nice. With the issuing of new uniforms in late 62 and early 63 a lot of the uniforms changed for the second time. We are also working on around 5 maps for the release and will add more as we go all of them mind you as close to the real thing as you can get.

Ok we are now back on track after the holidays and we should have some updated stuff for all of you soon including the zouave uniforms and of course more weapons. We will also be starting to polish all of the uniforms and flags. A little know fact about ACW flags is that after each battle they would be washed and repaired and also while on the march they would be cased so they would not be damaged or dirtied. We hope you will be patient with us as we get everything rolling again and also be ready for a video trailer showcasing some special items.

If you are going for accuracy...are you fixing the color of the Union haversacks?

yes we are....We had caught that problem early on and are going to fix it before the release some will have Black aka Tarred some will have standard white. the brown was a placeholder which was intended to be replaced right away. It may still show up in some of the confederate uniforms along with the black and the white. Thank you for your concern for Accuracy as we strive to tweek our results to meet their historical counterparts.
