I think it'd be neat to host a game where different regiments all join, and then the leader of the regiment is the King of whatever realm, and his members are all dukes and lords in that realm...so like if the 4th was playing, and we were say Scotland, I'd be King, then from there down my members would be dukes and such lower then myself. Just kind of seemed like a neat idea.

It's a cool idea but unfortunately most nations don't have many vassals :( Also a 32 player limit would mean only 2 or 3 reigments could play :(

New information on the Republic DLC, quite an interesting read, not too long and it doesn't waffle on, straight to the point!

Nah it would probably just mean that you would spend half the time restarting the game every time someone comes out of sync. Could be awesome if they could just do it properly...
I've entered a game on the paradox forum that had 30 people in it. No one went out of sync that much but due the player size we only re hosted hourly when crashes/oos happened.

Yeah, it doesn't look too good to be honest. I don't see much they could do with a world like TES, considering they didn't have any sort of feudal system, which is what ck2 is all about.

New Republic Dev Diary is out, as always worth a read if you are interested in the new DLC coming out.

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/content.php?1240-Crusader-Kings-II-The-Republic-Developer-Diary-4-Events-and-Decisions

They are also releasing an update which will include:

Ultimogeniture Succession: the youngest child inherits
Tanistry: A version of Feudal Elective where the electors must pick a member of your dynasty, but will tend to pick distant relatives, preferably old claimants
    Grant Independence Diplomatic option
Automatic cultural renaming of titles in your realm. So you'll automatically see Smyrna turn into Izmir if held by Turks, etc.
Added 1241 Bookmark - "The Mongols"
The Reign length opinion modifers are now dependent on how long a character has been the liege of someone, not how long the primary title has been held
All merc regiments now grow in max size over time
Added more mercenary bands: Finns, Lapps, Abyssinians, Nubians, Lithuanians, Scots, Irish and Alans

My god, that looks amazing. I had started to get bored of ck2, but the new dlc looks like it'll rekindle my passion.

I'm more interested in The Hansa. I loved playing as them in eu3 and ck2 will probably be even better.

Has there been a specific release date announced for the DLC?
