Not exactly: No-one but Tywin Lannister knew about, within House Lannister. Tywin tells Tyrion as much in season 3

Mad King time would be good, but there is little information about its lords and strengths

No need in lords, strengths are vital I suppose, but it's all made up.

Well, that was unexpected. Personally I would prefer the late reign of Robert Baratheon, or the War of the Five Kings. As riddlez pointed out in a private message, it will be hard because the lack of sources and information of the lord's strength, locations, and more characters. However, this is also a good choice because it will give a chance to the Targaryens to fight for their supremacy in the Iron Throne instead of starting the game with them being beggars. But yeah, this should be interesting.

And just to remember everyone, the start of the game will be mostly based on the books/series, but what happens beyond that is purely decision of the players.

What about territories? What was the realm of Highgarden for example? Or the North?
Riddlez hasn't read about anything changing after Aegon the Conqueror and The War of the Five Kings, but There could very well been some changes? No?

If Riddlez may:

Perhaps do it just before the outbreak of The War of The Five Kings, with Baratheon-Lannister Ruling, but perhaps advance time for Targaryen (Right after astapor and the Unsullied, for a good basis, or perhaps just before Meereen, no worries about the Harpies, and the Sellsword Cavalry still there. Or delete the Targaryens completely)

This era would interest most people, Riddlez would assume

Above statement would also apply, because during the Mad king (aegon the what, 5th?), there was peace, which would just feel bad?

And, perhaps Implementing leaders, like in Victoria 2, would make it more Game of thrones-y

Hmm.
I really think the Targaryens would play an interesting role here, I will merge them with the Dothraki people, as it happened in the book.

Good idea, 40.000 Dothraki screamers, that would be interested when they land in Westeros, though, as mentioned by Jorah Mormont, they won't stand a chance against castles
