Changing ingame sounds?
« on: May 22, 2013, 05:54:52 pm »
Heyo,
I would like to change the warcrys (c) of some of the characters in the game; e.g the British foot guards shout "for sparta".
Also I would like to change the victory sounds or ingame sound track.

:) How could I do this, and bear in a mind Ima nub :3

Okay thanks, just needed the clarification, now do any of you know any mp3 to ogg. Converters?

I would guess you locate the relevant sound files and replace them (With the same name and format etc), however, I have a feeling this may result in you getting kicked from servers for cheating for some reason. Worth a try though, this principle works on other games.

You won't get kicked for that I did it for the menu song I changed  it to  the Polish National Anthem already In-Game. I also did it for the French I changed the surrender sound to the Polish "Nie Sczelajcze!". (From Russian Faction)

Audacity or Sony Vegas Pro series. Audacity is free and works easily anyway, so you can try that if you want.

Okay so I changed some of the spartan charges mp3s to .wav's and changed their names to the ones I replaced, but the in-game sound stays the same

That's because the sounds vary like "Huzzah" and "Hurrah for old nosey" or "God save the king" replace one of those then try.
