Debate: What is better, Comminisem or Socialisem?

Socialism of course, since it is a "lighter" version of Communism anyway.

Depends on the country, and it's situation. Communism has worked well in Cuba, but has been the cause to alot of problems to the previous Soviet Union's economy.

What would work better for the UK? Socialism by far. Of course others may disagree, but I believe in liberty under one common cause.

I agree that a lot is down to culture; Socialism would work a lot better in the UK than in the US.

Agreed, but the lighter version of Capitalisem (mixed with Socialisem) is by far the best on my opinion.

I think the UK had it almost right, but I don't like the way the government spending cuts are going, and the rise of UKIP is certainly a scary thing.

Once again arguably. Capitalism leads to a larger divide, with the rich exploiting the poor. Whilst communism appears to do the stated more often, that is not Karl Marx's original ideas.

Also forgot to ask are we looking at Marxism, Leninsm or Stalinism?
