For those of you who care, of which there are few, Salt and I have been playing a glorious campaign of Darkest Hour with the Kaiserreich mod. Salt is the German Empire, and I am Austria.
The Commune of France (Socialist France) has been annexed, with the southern territories going to me and the northern part being released as a puppet nation of Germany. Because of this, the Internationale (the Socialist equivalent of the Comintern) has been completely eradicated. The Union of Britain is the only major Socialist state still in existence and they will be dealt with.
The Italian Federation and Socialist Italy were annexed by me, as well as Spain.
Nearly the entire Balkan region is full of my puppet nations, including Hungary.
Germany intervened in the second American Civil War on the side of the American Union State. Germany now has several US territories and is gearing up to destroy the Socialist Americans.
Germany also starts off with several colonies and puppets in Africa and Asia, including the country of Mittelafrika, which is led by Hermann Goering. All of this occurred in less than three years, and we still have 25 more years to go.

The North American Continent in 1938. The U.S. is the dark blue in the west, led by Douglas MacArthur, the first American tyrant. The light blue nation is the American Union State, our ally. The red nation is the Combined Syndicalists of America, the socialist faction which Salt now plans to annihilate with his forces stationed in AUS. The green nation in the northeast is New England, a market liberal nation that will likely be the victim in a conflict later on. They present no real threat, however they hold valuable territory and border Canada, a large power:
