It is sad, that so many are leaving. But is it really their fault. I mean NW is dead lets be honest there, and it has been since last year. They havnt updated anything about  BCOF since august 2014, the forum is basically dying if not dead, it doesnt have the spirit like it had 2012-2013.  To be honest to hell with this forum,this game and the developers.

There are 4,200 players on warband daily. Thats pretty much been the same for the past 2-3 years. The game isnt dying. http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
Nw is only 3 months older than CSGO lol.

Games been dying forever it must be in purgatory. Seriously every time someone knows someone who leaves they get on the forums and tell everyone about how dead the game is. I have news for those people it's not dead and likely won't be for a long time at this rate.

The thing is that maybe the game isn't dead, but its competitive side is certainly dying.

EU is the same, 91st, K-KA and 77y, so even less than NA (I mean skill-wise ofc).

Lol, you obviously have spent too little time around the EU. Just because they aren't very visible in things like the NWL and the forums, does not mean they aren't out there.

I have spent enough time EU to easily see that no regiment even compares to 91st or KKA in a 15v15+ anymore, I know the majority of EU regiments and have talked to their leaders at some point for a 1v1 or to help them with something. I know there are plenty of regiments, just not very many are good.

Indeed, I'm led to believe there is a regiment somewhere in the EU side of NW that can easily field an 100 man strong line, who rather than take part in 1v1s and any other community based events, hold inter-regimental linebattles. And they aren't even the 59th!??!

May I humbly suggest that that is because those with 2000+ hours (arbitrary number) just got bored and left? Anyway, I find it quite refreshing to have new players on that enjoying just joining TS and pubbing and really enjoy just playing instead of only being interested in all that regimental dick-measuring - reminds me of myself two summers ago There are still plenty of good players out there, it's just that they are spread thinly over quite a number of different regiments instead of all belonging to one "super-reg". And as impressive as a top-qualiy regiment can be in an event, we should probably still be content with the fact that these guys play NW at all at this stage of its life.

To be fair, that's the number of people playing Warband overall, not just NW. I'd guess that NW and its mods are closer 1,000 or so, which is still decent considering it's a 3 year old DLC. Even so, I definitely don't think we can say that the number of people that stick around is growing. Edit: Bah, Locust beat me to it.

NW is dying, the bigger question is how quickly. A number of the more recognizable names are retiring, and at the moment, I don't see any new names rising to fill their places. But popular names aside, I haven't seen a huge drop-off of average players lately, so I wouldn't say the future isn't as hopeless as some people seem to be saying. It is dark, yes, but not pitch black.

In melee they are probably equal to 77y yes but due to Gaz's leading 77y easily tops them both.

You guys do know that i meant, NW not warband. Warband is ok for now. I think bannerlord will revive it, and so far they have updated. What scares me tho is that they havnt updated BCOF since august last year. Im not saying its dead , but its more dead than alive at the moment.
