It's been a long while since I have done or posted anything related to this community, so I thought I might as well make it official. I joined the community in February 2013 and joined the 99th regiment of foot Under the Command of Colonel Edward. When the regiment disbanded a few weeks after I joined it I floated from regiment to regiment for about a month. Around this time Edward reformed the 99th as the 8thCSG which I promptly joined. I stayed with the 8thCSG until it's disbandment nearly two month later making the rank of Sergeant Major.
The next chapter of my story begins when I joined the EU community nearly a month later in mid-June of 2013 When I joined the 8th Royal Glen Ord Highlanders under the command of Colonel Fenny. I was in the line detachment of the regiment until making the ranking of corporal in mid July and decided to switch to the 8th's cavalry division. By mid august my time in the 8th Royal had come to an end, when Fenny retired from Colonel. I was a Dragoon(basically corporal) at this time, and I started my way to becoming a Colonel as I had always wanted to be.
In the middle of August I formed the 7th king's regiment of foot with a small group of about 5 friends, and my old leader Edward. For the seventh king's we got many of the old members of the 8thCSG back together, and quickly grew to nearly 15 members. By mid October we has about 25 members and were adding an artillery division. we eventually hit about 35 members before our several clashes with the 44e, and our decline. The start of the Decline sadly, was at the time when I stepped aside from colonel, due to lack of time and anger over incidents with other regiments, in early November and left the regiment in the hands of Jorsonner another person somewhere in this thread. after a few weeks we were once again down to small numbers of about possibly 12-15 men, and I retrieved the regiment from Jorsonner and was once again named Colonel. The highest we hit during this run was about 18 with the help of my captain Mablo heavily recruiting. I then joined the British Army led by Sharpe and the 1st RGJ in late November, this is where I met the Fellow colonel Luke and his group the 4th Royal Irish, a regiment of similar size. After several Hybrid events due to lack of turnouts for the two regiments, Luke and I struck a deal and merged the 7thKings and the 4thRI, as the 74th Campbell Highlanders. This joint operation had about 40 members and collapsed upon itself almost instantly. The members of the 4thRI did not like the fact that I was much more strict than Luke in my style of leading. This resulted in the once again split off of the 4thRI and the 74th being put in the hands of my major Carson, who reformed it as the Light infantry Regiment the 56th West Essex. It was at this time in mid-December that I made my choice to leave the community. Do to lack of time to play to play the game, lack of interest, and just utter aggravation at the community.
Thank you for the fun time in this community, and I will both miss it and be glad it is no longer at the same time. If you would like to add me on steam, my steam name is [USG]Templar of Shadows. I mainly now focus on coding games, schoolwork, and the RTS genre.
Signed,
Shadows, Ex- colonel of the 7th King's Regiment of Foot
