Jon should have returned to Winterfell first in my opinion instead of going to eastwatch...to reunit with his siblings and to bring peace to the lords of the north since they are getting antsy about Jon being MIA

Just saying, they took a boat up to eastwatch so they can't exactly stop at winterfell. Like if they did, it would be like a week or 2 detour. I would have liked to have seen Jon get a message from Sansa saying that the lords are getting antsy though. I think that would make sense and give a bit more urgency to their mission.

It sort is as they're the first line of defense against the Whites in Westeros. Keeping them united in a common cause is important to a degree or else the North will fall (faster). If they go out and leave the alliance then the Stark's legacy is ruined and they won't have any sort of defense versus the undead.

The Starks' legacy was already ruined by the Lannisters. Ned was branded a traitor and executed, and Robb was betrayed by his own bannermen. The north only came together under Jon and Sansa because the Boltons sucked so much.

And besides, the Long Night isn't a battle; the War for the Dawn is. The women and children are being trained and equipped to fight for their own survival, but the War for the Dawn is probably not happening through a bunch of prolonged sieges and battles trickling down southward. It's probably happening at the wall, and at Winterfell, because that's where Winter was probably Felled before, and history quite literally repeats itself in this universe.

You know why did they have to go capture a wight from teh night kings army? couldnt they have just killed someone beyond the wall and he would come back as a wight or does it not work like that?

Why did the night king choose to not kill drogon but the other dragon? Drogon was closer and just sitting there.

But forreal jon and the rest of them should all be dead
