My indepth review and reaction to the episode tonight:

me: tonight that scene was supposed to be depicted
me: it was a fight scene, like in the lore and books
me: but instead of a fight between 7 lords and 3 of the greatest warriors it was a fight between 1 guy, 7 extras, and 1 great fighter dude
me: because they made it a 7v2 for no reason, which is far worse odds tbh, and the one guy died right away so it was basically a 1v5-6

Don't you think that head was a bit small? Shaggy was the biggest of the direwolves and in Season 3 after the Red Wedding Greywind's head was fucking massive, more like a boar than a dog/wolf.

Anyways, the swordfight was awful, yes.... I mean he was so fucking slow because of his armor and his two swords yet they should fail to kill him more easily?

My thoughts:
The duel was shit, and they decided to go with 7v2 instead of 7v3 in the books? Why? Also Ned looks like he's 15. I think maybe the guy who choreographed the shit snakes fight scenes got hired to do that one as well. Tbh all the fighting scenes have just been terrible so far this season apart from Brienne vs the dog handlers.

I agree that the wolf head looks kinda small but then again I've noticed the depiction of the wolves has gotten smaller since season 3. I don't think Rickon will go the same way as Theon though, Jon will save his ass.

Overall I'd give it a 6/10. It was a bit disappointing but alright. Season 6 looks like it's going the way of season 5, i.e. the first 5 or 6 episodes aren't as good but the last few are much better.

Small? It wasn't small, it was decent size compared with Lord Umber.

Yeah Ned seemed too young to be leading a fight and doing better than his bodyguards in a pretty disappointing fight scene leading us on yet another cliff hanger.
