Concerned citizens have been bringing up that score and team effects can have a huge effect on cumulative gamescore. Looking at L2 it was pointed out that Antidote, Killershark and Jazz are all top 5 and on the same team - making me wonder how the scores would look like if I did AIR vs team average rather than game average. Here's how it turned out:
- I'd expected to see the top-heavy teams like GBB and STX have their top guys soar and their bottom guys collapse. Well, Jaax moves from 5th to 2nd, Kore jumps into the top 5, Wall falls back into 2nd lowest and Viper joins him in the bottom 5. It pays to have the KDs that pull the team average up and it's a killer when having the KDs that pull the average down.
- Les Blues had the highest score jumps and GVT had the highest score falls - fitting that they're the worst and best KD teams respectively. I talk about the changes in terms of teams because this is the L1 differences:
Someone who understands math better than me pls explain how 4/5 players on every team has the same difference and then there's one outlier! what the fuck!
- The two biggest winners of match effect corrections: Horse and... Sleek? Even though Sleek has the worst statistical profile on his team his overall stats are being seriously hurt by the sorry performances the team as a whole has displayed.
- The biggest losers of this method - myself, Mikey, Risk. Yolo. I couldn't afford to lose that much lol
- L2 doesn't change that much but Dio makes an appearance in the top 5 and Evan jumps huge!
- No matter the method Cwater and Movement keep their respective places in L1 with Jazz and Col Sanders/Jolly in L2. Can't correct for dominance!
Overall an interesting way of looking at things, I'll keep doing both!
