No chance of a stack forming if there's no stack available.

Spoiler
Check todays date smh
That's why I'm asking, cause the dates say it will start on monday (or the week after) yet there are no infos given, sign ups etc  :)

Sillycorn smh
>:(

Tbf do you need more than a week to gather a roster? Its obviously not gonna start the 30th.
Why are you too retarded to understand Nightwings question?
I'll bite.

Its not obviously gonna start on a monday however early next week like Tuesday or Wednesday, he can say it'll start on the 6th, realistically how much notice do you need of a start date? You wanna sign up, you've had enough notice, so you should have a roster roughly ready.

Normally Price is more 'active' than this, that's why some of us are wondering if this is actually happening. Because it happened in the past that tournaments GF-team/Regimental just get cancelled or delayed because of the inactivity of the host. So what you're saying is just entirely not related to what has been said, I don't know why you keep bringing up the rosters lmao. Holy mother of god why do you even try to stay relevant in this community while you never were?
Man my dog vegi woke up today and chose violence. But I have to agree, it would be nice to know the current state of RGL/Chriseh, so I for myself and also for my regiment can plan a bit ahead. Speaking of the roster and also the decreasing player numbers in NW, it would be also quite helpful to know if there are two leagues planned, what size has a regiment to field, maybe work out some coalitions etc.

Hey guys - You are right I have been a little radio silent on this. There's not some big conspiracy reason as to why, its just on my vacation I picked up COVID and its been by far the worst time I have had it, haven't really done anything at all including go to the office and get some work done :(

Well while we are here, a few days ago myself and the admins were discussing moving to a Swiss format instead of doing it how it has been done the last few times. The way it was being done is just do a regular round robin but playing the "easy to decide" matches first and leaving the exciting ones to the end as de-facto "finals". Think moving to Swiss makes it more interesting and serves similarly the same purpose.

Whats people opinions on this? Would you prefer to keep it how it was, have 1 big swiss group, 2 smaller swiss groups (league 1/2's)? Obviously having multiple groups depends more on how many regiments we get signed up.

Give me another day or two and I'll update the thread. I would like to start taking sign ups on Monday

EDIT: Just spoke to Gi on steam and he wants to try and get everything sorted on Sunday so yes expect an update Monday. If you have an opinion on the Swiss system format change I suggest you get your opinions in here before then!

Swiss system for how many expected teams? I know you're into comp csgo and they use it in their majors but they at least have a fair amount of teams for 1 group/stage. Plus do you guys expect the weakest regiment(s) to only play 3 matches?

I like the Swiss idea. I always wondered why its barely used (only M.League and the Summer Cup I remember).

But you gotta have 12 Sign-Ups to make it work properly. But below is quite nonsense anyway I guess. If you go for the Swiss Format I don't see the need of splitting it into 2 Leagues. Any other format would benefit from 2 Leagues, even if small ones.

A problem I see with the Swiss Format in a 12 or 14 Regiments field is people calling bias due to uneven difficulty of important matches.
Example 12 Regiments Swiss:
Round 3:
15th (2-0 score) vs 55th (2-0 score)
45thN (2-0 score) vs 45e (1-1 score)
1-1 vs 1-1
1-1 vs 1-1
1-1 vs 0-2
0-2 vs 0-2
(brought up some Regiment names so people understand the possible bias calls better)

Personally I like the idea. Main issue for some regiments and fairly so is that they may play less less matches.

It all depends on how many we get signed up. Perhaps we run L1 in Swiss and L2 in RR but I don't think that really solves the problem as there is always the issue of the top 4-5 regiments usually have a decent skill gap.

I agree 12 is optimal. Was easier back in the day when you could guaruntee 18-24 sign ups :(
