Well we were actually discussion to remove WSE2 from ATS, but it was too late; originally, we tried to see if we could limit FOV server-side but didn't have much success, so the alternative was to just ban WSE2 and use a version check server-side to detect who's using it and ban it.

Though we were still figuring it out by the time the last tournament came so never went through. I have hopes that EGS will also ban it, and I think that's sort of the plan.

who cares which FOV people using? I personally play with FOV75 and i dont really care if my enemy playing with FOV100. This is the price for a good and responsive game. I really hate this rusty game without WSE2, its like broken bike.

FOV100 can see more? ok. Fietta, who really wants to see more - they can use other hacks that cant be detected by your server. Its like someone banned "yellow bayonets" people still using it. they just dont post screens or POVs from tournament.

I saw many tournaments and backstabs still dont decide(even considering that some have already used wse), backstabs being called from teammates if they have a microphone.

you highlight 'a bit better' on the basis of only using the performance benefit, the performance benefit isn't a good enough trade-off for more obvious game breaking cheats. I understand CIS players have a track record of advocating cheating, but it's clear that the discussion isn't about the performance gain.
