I can't really say which one is better until I played them both. Purely uniform-based, L'aigle probably takes the cake.

I think it depends on whether you're in the mood for Single Player or for Multiplayer. Because you can't have both in either of the games. I will have to say that although l'Aigle is quite fancy looking, it might be a bit hard on lower to medium end PCs and l'Aigle will need to make some serious updates to Warband's AI to make battles feel realistic. It'd be interesting to see how the mod intends to make enemy bots form lines and fight as units.

MM Melee is just a little bit more simple, it allowed you to take down massive groups of people just a bit easier. Some people say they want realism, but I like to be an one man army, so I prefer MM melee

I'd suggest changing the thread title, as there's really no need to compare. Both will have their own charm.

I'm not going to play either, as I hate the planned melee for both. IIRC Docm said something about 3 directional melee, two side bashes and a stab which doesn't really appeal to me. Not saying NW's does either, mind you.
