Review

Spoiler

Well what a tournament, the first of the season in the 6v6 format full of some twists, turns and displays of skill.

First let's start with tournament champions 10C who bounced back from their 5v5 shock to storm this tournament in the way we all expected, they were absolutely dominant all the way to the final, not dropping a round in the groups and then taking that momentum through the knockouts. Their teamwork and talent showed here and in the most important format they really did look in great form, let's hope to see more of this from them as we go into the next tournament.

Second we have Enigma, the German team has been perennially near the top but this time round they took a step up, their win over Envy in the Semi Final showed they do have what it takes to contend this season and their chemistry showed with a great 7-5 performance. Enigma have always been considered a tough team to play and they showed that in the final too, they were neck and neck with 10C for the early stages however lost their steam near the end, still however keeping the rounds close, a real class performance and perhaps a sign of a third consistent finalist.

In third we have Envy who looked strong all the way to the Semi Final, until that point they seemed sure to make their way to the final however Enigma were simply too good for them, this was surely a major disappointment for the team who until this point had been in the final of every tournament since last season began, their win in the 3rd place match was some consolation however they'll be approaching the 7v7 with a new mindset and looking to make up for a poor outing here.

The last team we will mention is EyeFuckers, a huge well done to them for getting 4th in the tournament and surely this is a sign that the competition for 3rd-4th in the table will be intense this season with a new team ending up in the bronze match in each tournament so far. EyeFuckers are going to see this as proof they can compete among the top teams and must surely be looking to repeat this performance next time round in the 7v7.

Most Suprising Player Performances

Spoiler
Lets start with Python, as ever he showed why he's one of the best of all time with a crazy K/D over 4 and first picking at a dominant rate, all tournament long he looked like the player to watch with his consistent pressure and aggression tearing through teams all tournament long. This kind of performance is the epitome of an MVP

Golden is the next player of note, with almost identical stats to Python and his classic wow factor, Golden turned rounds in 10Cs favour and made plays that are simply impossible to stop. Golden found real form this time round and in some matches was a walking triple kill at times, a real standout for him in the most vital format.

Finally we'll talk about Wursti, a major reason for Enigma's success this time round logging the highest kills, assists and damage on his team. Wursti was part of a German machine that clearly found form together but if a single player has to be picked out it's this man, if he can repeat this type of play consistently over the season then we may be yet to see the best of Wursti, maybe he could even find MVP form
