A slight update as the last days have been rather busy for the 13e! On Friday of last week, we faced the
5e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne, another independent french structure playing as line infantry that's been around (in & off) for the past five years. This match was counting for the second week of the European Infantry Cup and we managed to take a convincing victory,

After a chill weekend where we took some rest,
we were due to face the 71st this Monday, in one of the most important matches of EIC's Group D. From our perspective, the 71st was the hardest opponent of our group and definitely capable to outmatch us in any given fields of a 1v1 but we prepared that match as best as we could. It was really important for me to make the 13e players understand that more than the victory at any cost, I wanted to see a real competitive mindset from the line-up as a whole. The reaction I got was the best reward a fresh leader could ever hope for.
From the first round in, everyone was 100% focused and willing to give their best for the team, be it brits or Frenchies of the 13e, veterans or newcomers of the 31e, there was something untouchable that night which helped us outdo ourselves. The coalition of the 31e/13e definitely grew a lot as a whole last night and I look forward to our next matches in the EIC with impatience.

With our official EIC match out of the way, the rest of the week still looks busy for the 13e. Tonight the whole regiment is off duty but we may resume tomorrow if we manage to schedule a gf like planned. On Thursday, we'll be trying out the famous Trench_Battle_Event that everyone seems to speak very positively of and on Friday, we'll be attending the 45thN's Five Years Anniversary Event. We'll meet again with Nova and Maskman's men on Sunday, for a groupfighting training that will act as this week's last event.
