55th 6 - 4 18th

So I only jumped in after 8 GMT when the score was 4-3 in favor of the 55th.
Uni had to go for dinner so quickly informed me what had happened with some rule breaking from the 18th, refusing to play by the anti camping rule which resulted into Uni giving the 55th a point during that match.
The bad behavior continued from the 18th as they started to insult the referee's and continue to use the all chat even after being informed several times by the referee's that the all chat now was only for the CO's of the regiments.
After this a slay occured after a 18th member continued to disobey this rule and then insulted again a referee and got a temp ban.

Unicorn can explain in more details the first 8 rounds of this match if need be, but really this was bad sportmanship from the 18th and I hope they will improve from this as such behavior is unprecedented in the EIC.

Both Regiments had a quite passive approach to the match and went with shooting for the majority of the match. There was no need to employ the camp timer at any point tho. In the first half, the 1y won most of the rounds by some distance with very good shooting, while the 5tesKGR won the only even melee in Round 4 making the score 4-1 for the 1y before the side swap. In the second half, the tactical approach didn't change but it came to more even melees who were most of the time won by the 5tesKGR so they won the second half with 3-2. It's also worth mentioning the 5tesKGR had only 12 or 13 people for the vast majority of the match so they had to play on more than 1 down. The whole match saw only 2 small rule breaks which made it a chill match to ref. Good luck to both in the further tournament.

I watched the whole second half and assisted first Uni and after Pieter with reffing. 18th you need to understand that running in a circle behind a hill does not undo the camping timer and you need to start listening to the referee's decision without answering it with insults. Sad a 1vs1 takes 85 minutes. Still good luck to both regiments in the further tournament!

18th vs 55th

As you have all seen, there have been some issues that have come forwards regarding this match. I will be going over all of this below.

Round 7 Anti-Camp Rule

As you can see by the logs, 18th instead of moving down from the hill just ran around it and kept running back. In the end the referee Unicorn took the decision to hand the round over to 55th. I will be addressing this decision below.

Rosters

After checking both rosters I have found;

All 55th players have been cleared.

The following 3 18th players have been found in breach of the roster ruleset.

18th[L]_Fus_Ayca22 - This player was added to the 18th roster the day before the match. So was not eligable to play.
18th[S_Pte_StalinKhan - This player received a 1 matchweek ban due to not being on the roster during their match vs 45e. However still played anyway.
18th[S_Pte_Berserker - This player was added to the 18th roster the day before the match. So was not eligable to play.

The excuse given to me on steam by Yusuf as to why these players were taking part is frankly not good enough. The other 2 18th players who received a match ban during their match vs 45e, Ulwin and ADORA (TasBebek) were both sat in spec for the duration of the match. So his excuse that he "didn't know" about the roster rules is an absolute joke. Even if he really was ignorant, he obviously knew that the players were banned and yet did not even question it?...

All chat rule

As most of you will know in EIC the reg leaders or alternatively the referee can stop all chat if they feel it gets out of hand in anyway. This does not need to be agreed on by both sides and can still be enforced by a referee. This had to be enforced due to a lot of shittalking going on from both sides. I will add that there were some pretty disgusting comments made by 55th which I will not be posting here. You can see the admin messages below:

One of the 18th members, Ayca22 (who shouldn't have been playing anyway) repeatedly typed in all chat despite this and had to be slayed. He then complained in all chat:

He was then temp banned for refusing to listen to the referees. The only 2 people who spoke in all chat from 55th were officers. So this argument is invalid:

Referee Decisions
18th players were constantly insulting the referees etc. which as far as I can see did not come from the 55th.

Now, unfortunately a decision was made by Unicorn that I must address. On the 7th round after the 18th were refusing to follow the camp rule and close the distance, Unicorn made the decision to give the round to the 55th. This is an issue for a few reasons. The main one being that all referee decisions should be seen as impartial and to the wording of the ruleset itself. Giving a round to the opposite regiment should never happen. If a regiment is refusing to follow the rules and decisions of the referee the match should be cancelled IMMEDIATELY.

This sparked a lot of insults and calls of bias from the 18th and unfortunately, despite their previous rulebreaks and carelessness, I do understand where it comes from. Although insulting a referee should never happen under any circumstance. IF you have an issue with a referee you contact an organiser.


Now I will add, I do not blame Unicorn for making this decision. He obviously had to do something and there wasn't anything in the rules at the time to guide him on the decision he should make. Which I have taken note of and will be updating in time for Matchweek 3. In 4 seasons of EIC this has never happened before so this is both a learning experience for myself and also Unicorn as if he wasn't sure he should have spoken to myself or Gi who were both online at the time.

Outcome

Myself and Gi have decided that we have no other choice but to revoke the round that was given to 55th. Making the score a 5-5 draw. As an organiser I accept full responsibility for this and I understand that 55th does not deserve what seems like a punishment to them. However under no circumstances can the EIC admin team give out free rounds to regiments, no matter how egrigious the rulebreak. As if this becomes the norm/standard, its impossible to be unbiased/impartial in those decisions.

Ontop of this, 18th will be removed from EIC and replaced by 2Lr EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

18th have clearly shown that they do not care about the rules in anyway whatsoever and insulting referees who take the time out of their evenings to admin their matches for them will NOT be tolerated in anyway. Even if the other rulebreaks did not happen, they would have still been removed.
