The 45th Nottinghamshire has continued on with its success both casually and competetivelty in 2021 following our rise last year. This mid year summer post will be outlining the regiments accomplishments in the earlier part of the year and will also be outlining the future events and plans that we look forward to doing. Despite the very much casual approach the 45th Nottinghamshire takes to competitive events, the 45thN has proved that time and time again that we still very much a force to be reckoned with challenging the regiments at the very top every tournament.

Competitively

Competitively, the year of 2021 saw many players come in and out of the regiment. After a disappointing 3rd placement in MRGL the whole structure of the regiment and the Grenadier Company changed as people had to step back due to in real life issues. With the rise of the 13e and 71st, many decided to leave the 45thN and the grenadiers became truly budget with my self stepping up as the temporary leader of the Grenadiers to gear us onwards to EIC. With very little expectation from anyone at all, the 45th Nottinghamshire managed to secure a respectable third place after some hard fought matches coming ontop of the 13e and 96y in the knockouts. Our luck ran out in the Final Match of the losers bracket where we lost to the 92nd 8-6 taking them into overtime. Despite a disappointing loss once again to the 92nd (Maybe 3rd times not the charm), the 45th Nottinghamshire has proved that - despite a very shakey start to 2021 - that we have now become a staple of the competitive community and will preform respectably whatever our line up is. This is due to our loyal core of active players that really do carry the regiment and the community a service such as VGren Achilles, VGren Mauri, HSurgeon lonedoge, Gdm Timlef and Gren Vemon to name a few.
Classically the 45thN came into EIC looking to be very much an underdog and I think it'll stay that way for a long time - just makes those small victories extra sweeter! We look foward to RGT at the end of the month and later Kincaide's 2v2 tournament where we will be able to play with our centre company and get all the lads involved for a chill summertime 2v2 line battle format.

Our Placements in tournaments throughout the year so far:

🥈2nd Place in MDGL 2021 🥈
🥉3rd Place in MRGL S1 2021🥉
🥉3rd Place in EIC S4 2021🥉

Casually

Casually the 45th Nottinghamshire has continued to dominate to the casual scene with our lights and centre companies doing events six days a week and our cavalry doing five. The majority of our recruits fill in through our centre before they branch out into other specialised companies and the centre roster just continues to grow and grow, even with summer nearing us and lockdown ending - our attendance still remains over 25 daily with the centre company. The standard of our line battles remains high with capable leadership at front consisting of Captain Mitchell and Colour Serjeant Wolf115 leading our line from the weekly historical role-play line battles we do to the competitive group fights and 1v1s we take part in.

The Light Company looks forward to the European Light Infantry Tournament occurring later this month and are one of the favourites to win it! ELC > EIC every day of the week . Our cavalry has grown and the core too has been steadily growing and improving under CoH Ericsson and LCoH Empo. With each day our cavalry grows more and more into a staple within the competitive cavalry community. We also ambitiously aim to have a fully accounted artillery roster by the end of the year, with us trialing a couple artillery events a week lead by Veteran Ajax.We have also launched a new YouTube channel (lonedoges and Glenns channel have become too big   ) that will cover our competitive events as well as some highlights of our casual line battles, a huge thanks to Private Hellbread for stepping up and doing this for us.

Our 5 year anniversary saw the regiment pull in our largest attendance with 84 players representing the 45thN in our anniversary event with the infantry bringing over 50 alone! The Centre Company will partaking in Kincaides 2v2 tournament paired up with our Grenadier company giving our already very much underdog Grenadier Company a much tougher challenge but I am sure we will rise above and have fun with it.

Now to all our members - the BIGGEST thanks goes to you! It has been a hard year so far for the regiment but what makes the 45thN different and special is our community and it is you - the enlisted that carry this. It really is all you guys that make the regiment what it is and each everyone of you contribute and shape what the regiment has become throughout the year and its clearly reflected in the core values and principles of the regiment, something that we all can be very proud of and for that we are eternally grateful. Thank you to all those who have stayed loyal with us all these years and I guarantee you - the only way is up

So let’s just ignore someone like Maskman who knows next to nothing about leading and the capabilities of regiments performing well in a linebattle type of event.
To state that anyone on a “good day could beat the 77y/15thYR” is just a meme of its own, if that was the case why don't you beat the 77y or 15thYR then!?
