Thanks for all the positive responses, looks like there's enough enthusiasm to give this more thought after all
I am there! Count me in also.
How about to add a Cav to this 2 Lines? About 10 men Cav each side could be interesting aswell?!
For this tournie I'm really looking to have something closer to traditional 1v1's whereas the addition of cav would a step closer to the NWBC format. If we're still all here afterwards and this is a success I'd be well up for trying a variation with 1 special class (potentially even maintain the teams gathered for this one?).
Just put together some sensible rules with competent admins and all is good in the hood
Rules would be much the same as usual 1v1 tournies mate so no problem on that score, although as Jakob mentioned the inclusion of a 2nd ref may well be necessary to keep a sufficiently high standard of play.
Sounds cool but it has to end before bannerlord
Would be well happy if 14e played in this!
No guarantees re bannerlord though as this would most likely run over the release of the early access or start shortly after. Not really an issue in my book as Bannerlord isn't a replacement and I can't really see NW dying overnight, but if anyone can see their reg not surviving it's release by all means don't apply ja.
I'm kinda unsure about this one.
I think it could be interesting. Already had some games like this in the past. Rules have to be adapted a little bit from what we know, but I guess that's not too hard.
But I'm also unsure if it'll work out as planned. I doubt that 1 person can ref a match like that. Would recommend 2 refs for each match (and that's the main problem... noone wants to ref)
I can already ensure you that I'd be up for helping / reffing
If my reg partakes or not I can't tell you rn though
Thanks mate really appreciate the support. Admittedly the rules will need to be tweaked ever so slightly to work for 2v2 but again this is something that can be discussed on here prior to me making a thread, so we can get something that works for all. Totally agree with you on the 2 ref subject - certainly come the knock-outs we will need two refs per match. I suppose then in theory we'd be looking at each ref overseeing 2 matches each (in a perfect world) though doubtless some will end up doing more. Regiments unwilling to pitch in with reffing will inadvertently make the rule-breaking across the tournie suffer - if any of them moan about their own matches I will be the first one to point this out to them
At present I've got 18 regiments which have staked an interest or outright approval for the event. Please do keep any further questions coming or topics for discussion.
